This is a very dangerous precedent. It is a matter of free speech to use racial epithets if one wishes. The law has zero say in the matter.

So would this blond white mother have been convicted if instead she called the child a Mother effer?

Would she have been convicted if she herself had been black?

We do not have speech codes in America; we have a First Amendment, after all. But the Left simply acts as if we do. Control of speech has always been the goal of every Leftist.

Is this woman a hero? Far from it. She used language to a child that was wholly inappropriate. But it does not involve the law.

Selwyn posts up the video of the event and the man is immediately talking about hate crimes law. He was clearly ready for something like this to happen at some point in time.

I suspect this woman will win on appeal but it's going to cost her a huge amount of money. That is the whole point; the process is the punishment.
