Decades of government overspending, free stuff, bailouts, and zero fiscal restraint creates bubbles. Instead of focusing on real day to day needs like affordable housing, a clean food supply chain, following facts instead of pushing a greed-based agenda, the US may have crossed the Rubicon.
In the US 26% of single family homes were purchased by investors further exacerbated by the housing needs of the estimated 6 million illegals who entered the US since 2020.
Add the estimated 16.8 mil already in the US along with a lack of political will to develop affordable housing, we will see a continued rise in homelessness.
The median home value to income ratio in the US now stands at a record ~4.5x.
This is 45% above the historical average of ~3.1x with the median home payment now at a record $2,800/mo.
Meanwhile, the median rent price in the US just hit a record $2,050/mo.
Renting a house in the US requires ~35% of the median PRE-TAX household income.
Buying requires ~46% of the median PRE-TAX household income.
