To make certain we got the right man, the U.S. military sent in a spy to steal Al-Baghdadi's underwear!
According to El Zorro (Fox):
Before al-Baghdadi could move, a Kurdish undercover operative was able to reach him and retrieve the self-styled "Caliph’s†underwear, Can said. Through a DNA test, he said they were able to confirm "100%†that the person of interest was al-Baghdadi.
Bear in mind the underwear had to be soiled to be of any use. That is one dirty job!
This was a guy who was constantly on the move, and his lifestyle was probably not the most hygienic. I wouldn't touch his filthy panties with a pliars. And after he was caught, I imagine they were much worse...
