Subtle Little Lies

Violence has broken out between Serbia and Kosovo again, and I wanted to learn more. I found this article which was less than helpful.
This is a classic example of how the news media misreports, or fails to report, or twists reports.
There is considerable analysis of the cause of this conflict, yet they carefully avoid the main aspect of it. The Serbs are Orthodox Christians and the Kosovar Albanians are Muslim.
Nowhere does the article mention that rather pertinent fact.
Why not? They apparently want to avoid discussing that out of fear Americans may wake up to the dangers of having a large Muslim minority.
There is much discussion about the Serbs thinking Kosovo is part of Serbia, and even some mention of the Serbs seeing their fight against the Ottomans as the primary definition of who they are. But zero mention of the Islamic religion, which is at the root of the conflict.

Christian vs Muslim is irrelevant. This is being drummed up by the CIA and US State Dept because the Serbs are, and have been, overtly and actively supportive of Russia.

Bear in mind the US is threatening to bomb not the Kosovo Muslims, but is threatening the Serbian Christians because they support Russia.

That is all true Bill. My point was, though, that they spent a full page analyzing the roots of the Albanian/Serbian conflict and never once mentioned Islam.
But you are right; the Serbs are (understandably at this point) allied with the Russians.
I remember when the war in Kosovo broke out. The Serbs were flabbergasted that we were aligning with the Albanians over them; they were Christian and had been a bulwark against the tide of Islam for centuries and couldn't understand why we were supporting the Islamic Albanians.
And we were entirely one-way in our approach. (That was Bill Clinton, through and through.) We had no business picking sides in that conflict. As now in the Russo-Ukrainian dustup.
BTW I used to work with a bunch of Albanians from Bosnia and live in Little Bosnia even now. I know them pretty well. My boss mistakenly hired a Serb; boy the tension in the air was thick. None of them would talk to him, except to spit. Serbs and Bosnians/Kosovar hate each-other.
That will be America in a hundred years or less. We're sowing the seeds of such endless hatred now.

Democrats fundamentally do not understand how deep runs the meaning of, "A nation divided against itself cannot stand." They think the "a nation" part means an economic system, which they want to change - to socialism. But the "a nation" part refers to the very social fabric and what they are doing is sowing the seeds of destruction. As you say, they are turning us into the image of what used to be Yugoslavia.

They are gleefully turning America into the Balkans - and the rest of the West too.
