My Dad always used an expression his grandfather used to use "doesn't have sense to pour piss out of a boot." Dad never did quite get the phrase; why would anyone piss IN a boot, and why would you need to pour it out? And who would put it on after being so filled?
I guess if you are pissing in your own tent you might wind up with it in a boot.
