I'm thinking maybe bacon contributes to natural immunity, or at least the heightened ability to fight off the disease.

That may be it Dana! The fruit of the hog may give immunity to us Gentiles.
I'd like to do a comparison between American Jews and Israelis and determine how much the Jewish dietary restrictions coincide with Covid cases. It would be an interesting study.

No doubt. But it should be possible to study Jews who are strict to follow kosher and others who are not and compare their Covid rates. I'll bet it's an eye-opener - and not because Hasidic Jews are getting sicker, but the other way around.
