Democratic socialism is a euphemistic term for socialism with a happy face. But in the end the iron boot mustfall to implenent any kind of socialism, which is state control of the eeconomy. I never use the term; all ds is is radical socialism in transition. Eventually they stop bothering with the phrase "democratic".
At any rate they already are demanding Momdani bend to their will. And don't think he won't do so eagerly.

There are no Democrats in Minnesota. They are all "Democratic Socialists," called Democrats for short. They are Socialists. New York has adopted the same trick, calling Socialists "Democratic Socialists" and hoping people are too dumb to notice the second word.

Well, gee whiz, Bill, you seem to have penetrated our situation here in the Upper Midwest pretty well. Except that I hope you realize, as I'm sure you do, that the vast majority of us are actually conservative, while it's only those city-dwellers among us who are, to one extent or another, communists.
But this article is discussing Noo Yawkers, not Minnesotans, and the two are not the same -- or at least the commies aren't quite the same. The conservatives are more the same wherever you go: folks who just want to be left alone to live their lives the way they want to live them, the way they have always lived them, with minimal government interference.

WEll, you are right there; nothing "democratic" about them, for sure.
Dana, aren't they actually called the Democratic Farm Party or something? A socialist by any other name smells as bad. Like Satan, they are known by many names but always are themselves.
