Sinead O'Connor converts to Islam

Sinead O'Conner, the woman who tore up a picture of Pope John
Paul II on Saturday Night Live in 1992, has converted to Islam.
Gee, and she would have been a great guest for the just
cancelled Megyn Kelly show on NBC. They are both birds of a
feather.
Sinead
O'Connor has announced she has converted to Islam and changed her name to
the Arabic word for martyr.
The "Nothing Compares 2 U" singer, 51, tweeted a picture of herself wearing a hijab.
Mom-of-four O'Connor was ordained a priest by a Catholic sect during the
1990s.
But the Irish singer has changed faiths and her name to Shuhada
Davitt.
Sinead, who has struggled with mental health issues, told fans: "This is to announce that I am proud to have
become a Muslim."

She was NOT ordained a priest by a Catholic sect. She was ordained by the Irish Orthodox Catholic and Apostolic Church, which is in no way associated with the Catholic Church. It's a sect with roots in eastern Orthodox Christianity, not Catholicism. This is not an "Eastern Rite" faith in communion with the Catholic Church, but a schismatic entity fully outside of the Catholic faith.
