Sex and Evolution

Michael Smith

I'm exploring something I want to write about and it may seem controversial or sexist, but I can assure you it is simply my objective observations of behavioral conditioning. Here are my two premises (and these hold whether you believe in evolution or intelligent design):

Human males have evolved through time to shoulder certain physical tasks and roles based on physical and social stresses, these are unique to "maleness" and men have developed coping mechanisms for each of those stresses.

Human females have also evolved through time to shoulder certain physical tasks and roles based on physical and social stresses, these are unique to "femaleness" and females have developed coping mechanisms for each of those stresses.

These roles and stresses are different and unique and therefore are not interchangeable , nor are the coping mechanisms.

The phrases "its a man's world" or "the future is female" are not interchangeable because both sexes have been programmed by centuries of existence to withstand unique pressures. There is no doubt in my mind that if a man had periods or had to have a baby, the world population would decrease substantially. If a woman had to had to fight a cave bear or take down a mastodon, the population would also decrease.

Subjecting either sex to the roles and stresses of the other will cause mental disconnects as each attempt to cope with stresses they have not developed the internal systems to withstand.

I think that, more than any sort of "shaming" is what drives the suicides in our young to increase, girls especially. Today, girls are expected to be pretty and sweet but also to be able to fight a cave bear. Men are expected to be burly and violent, but also to share their emotions and cry.

It's nuts.

And now add transgenderism and we get to a whole new level of crazy.

Tim adds:

The Left is always promoting Darwinian evolution when it can be used to bludgeon the Church but they suddenly forget all about it when discussing things like the roles of men and women. No question. A woman isn't "tough as any man". She may be tough, but it will be in a way that is different than a man is. And vice versa. We are complementary, not interchangeable.
