1 Generally the president's party loses the House first time around. But some things are different now, including the fact that the Democrats really crapped all over themselves in '24 and might not recover for years. Pencil-Neck may not find the House quite so amenable to his garbage-talk if the House stays in GOP hands.

2 I hope so Dana. People have short memories though. And the GOP barely won both houses of Congress as  it is. People don't seem to be able to connect the dots.

If the GOP fails to advance Trump's agenda they will probably lose one or both houses. As is the Republicans will be defending twice as many Senate seats as the Democrats. Lose either house and all the investigations and the rest come back.

That's why I oppose botth Thune as Majority Leader and Johnson as Speaker. To paraphrase Michael Corleone "they're not wartime consiglieres." Now the Democrats are on the defensive and we need a George Patton to charge in - we have Montgomerys who dig in instead.

3 Schiff is now in the Senate, and the Senate cannot bring charges of impeachment against the president. Nor can the Senate tell the House of Representatives what to do. Schiff should keep his ignorant, lying mouth shut.

4 Bill's right; Schiff-head is now a senator, and it's amazing that Californians will vote for such idiots. But looking at the people whom they vote to strum the banjo in Los Angeles, with the results they get (hint: current wildfires), what can one say? Does no-one remember that the Kenyan said elections have consequences?
