Rumblings of Armageddon

Timothy Birdnow

The United Nations just voted 142 to 10 in favor of a resolution to create a Palestinian state. The U.S. opposed the move but was outvoted.

This hare-brained scheme left the Palestinian Authority in charge of the new country although it said Hamas had to go (good luck with that; they will just embed in the PA).

The kicker is the plan calls for an international intervention to guarantee the security of Israel and this new state.

FTA:

The United Nations General Assembly votes overwhelmingly to endorse a declaration outlining "tangible, time-bound and irreversible steps” toward a two-state solution between Israel and the Palestinians, without the involvement of Hamas.

One hundred and forty-two countries vote in favor of the non-binding resolution enshrining the New York Declaration, which also calls on Hamas to release all hostages and condemns the terror group’s October 7 onslaught.

Joining Israel and the United States in opposing the resolution were Argentina, Hungary, Micronesia, Nauru, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay and Tonga. Twelve countries abstained.

Or what? Will there be a military occupation of U.N. forces? No doubt the U.N. forces are looking forward to all the Jewish and Palestinian girls they can abuse in their quest for peace!Just ask anyone in the Congo and other places that hosted the "peacekeepers".

The article continues:

It calls for the Palestinian Authority to govern all Palestinian territory, with a transitional committee formed after a ceasefire. "In the context of ending the war in Gaza, Hamas must end its rule in Gaza and hand over its weapons to the Palestinian Authority,” it states. The declaration also backs a "temporary international stabilization mission” under U.N. auspices to protect civilians, monitor a ceasefire, and guarantee security for both sides.

The text urges global recognition of Palestine, calling this "an essential and indispensable component of the achievement of the two-state solution.” Without naming Israel, it warns that "illegal unilateral actions are posing an existential threat to the realization of the independent state of Palestine.”

All Gulf Arab states supported the resolution. Israel dismissed it as one-sided "theater,” with Netanyahu declaring shortly before the vote that "there will be no Palestinian state.” The U.S. likewise branded it a "misguided and ill-timed publicity stunt.

Or is it the fulfillment of Biblical prophecy? The Antichrist is supposed to make a treaty with Israel to protect them then break it, triggering Armageddon. But at first he will appear as a peacemaker. Doesn't this scheme sound surprisingly like that? It is a peace deal that leaves Israel entirely vulnerable and in need of the good will of the powers who will enforce it - most of whom hate Israel and always have.

Netanyahu rejects this deal but he won't always be there. It's probably coming one way or another.

And it was Macron and the French pushing this. I've always thought Macrom was a dangerous man. Is he the Antichrist? Maybe.

This scheme can't work. The Palestinians will never stop trying to destroy Israel, and having their own country has always taken a back seat to that goal. They want it all. Several times they have been offered their own country and rejected it. Of course they can't govern their own territory even now; the place is a horrible shithole while Israel is prosperous. That's because they sink all their energy into destroying their neighbor. Vengeance is expensive.

So how is this going to work? It won't. Chasing this two state solution dream is like hunting for the seven cities of Cibola. Good luck with that!

Many in Israel are furious and there is talk of annexing the West Bank. If Israel were to do that I suspect the U.N. would send in troops to stop them. Palestine has been their cause celebre' for a long time. And with rising hatred of Israel and Jews the whole situation could explode.

1 A Palestinian state? Good luck with THAT! They'll have to create all the things that go along with a modern state: infrastructure, which they are much more adept at bombing than creating. Wow! I never knew the U.N. had a sense of humor! Do you suppose "Macaroon" does too?

2 Good  point  Dana, although I suppose they are in a good position to have a subway system, what with all the tunnels they've dug to hide in over the years.

Sadly I don't think they do have a sense of humor; they really believe this, I suspect.

3 My mind is working overtime on this one (must have to do with the bourbon). I'm visualising a subway system that is infected with a version of Israel's exploding pagers. You can take it from there...
