Of course it doesn't hurt that Kimmel's and Bits was losing money for the network.
At some point you can't keep supporting a white elephants, especially one that finds ways to alientate all of your customers.

It does,at least as far as your employer is concerned. Kimmel is free to speak all he likes - but his employer is free to fire him. He can start a podcast or something if he wants.
