In 1950 Harvard-educated businessman Albert Lynd published an attack on our Education Establishment. His book was aggressively titled Quackery in the Public Schools.

While it may be tempting to adopt the latest trends or fads in education, blindly following what has worked for others without considering the unique needs and context of one's own students can lead to ineffective or even detrimental outcomes.
