Putin Wants to Negotiate

Putin — I’m ready to discuss ending the war in Ukraine.
Funny; didn't Donald Trump say he could get this thing to end in no time at all when he was campaigning? Now he's been President-elect for just a couple of days and Putin is ready to negotiate.
We all suspected this would happen all along. Putin only invaded because Biden showed what a weak and cowardly man he is and Putin knew he could do it without any real consequences.

This would be A Good Thing, methinks. If successful, it would produce some peace and quiet in a noisy part of the world, and Trump could put more effort into the Middle East.

Yep. It would be a wonderful thing. Remember when Reagan won the election of '80 and immediately the Iranian Mullahs released the hostages; they were afraid to face The Gipper. Same principle here.
I've said all along this could have been resolved with negotiations. Biden did the one thing he shouldn't have - he simply stopped talking to the Russians and essentially demanded their surrender. A million people now have died for his lack of foreign policy understanding.
Of course this invasion never would have happened had Russia not been flush with cash from high oil prices thanks to Biden. And had Biden presented a tough image. His disaster in Afghanistan and subsequent refusal to take responsibility for it gave Putin the green light.
