This morning President Trump commemorated of the 75th anniversary of the D-Day invasion of Nazi-occupied northern France by Allied forces. Trump joined French President Emmanuel Macron in honoring the fallen at the site of the invasion just above the beaches of Normandy. I have posted the text of the president’s eloquent and moving speech below the video, which really has to be seen. This is a great speech.

What a speech, and what a delivery! The President has often been belittled as not having been in the military. I felt at times, during this speech, as if he wished he had been; as if he felt he had missed out on something by not having been a military man.
I can understand that, because I too have felt that. I drew a 4F (lousy eyesight and only one functioning ear) when they looked me over after I graduated from college, and while I was happy to escape being sent to 'Nam as "cannon fodder," I still have known I missed something. I'm sure Mr. Trump feels the same -- it showed in his speech.
