Police Refuse to Enforce the Law

Police in San Francisco are just letting criminals walk away when catching them in the act.
According to Not the Bee S-F cops let a man walk away and even gave him directions to the bus stop when they caught him stealing the catalytic converter from under a car.
What is the point of having police if they do not enforce the law?
What is going to happen is the Mafia will return as a law enforcement mechanism. That's how they began their existence in Sicily, enforcing justice where the corrupt local authorities refused to do so. And that's where they will return if this keeps up.

You're possibly right, Tim, though I'd hate to see it. It's terrible to see SF rotting away -- I remember being there with members of my wife's family years ago and being able to park, then walk to a restaurant -- and having the car still there when we came back.

It would be a very bad thing, no question Dana. Once you get a mafia-llike organization in such a position it plays hell to get rid of them.
The Irish had the same problem as the Sicilians. The cure is as bad or worse than the disease.
Yeah; it would be a shame to see S-F go this way. I thought it a lovely town even if I did have the unsettling experience of being a piece of meat when I walked into a bar with Cathy.
I have little doubt cities like Frisco are going to be destroyed in some fashion; God will not be mocked, and Divine Justice will fall on such wicked places.
Still it's a pity to see.
