Party's Over in California

Timothy Birdnow

So now that they've driven the oil refiners and companies out of their state Gov. Newsom and his ilk want to entice them back. Seems the public is about to rebel over high energy prices and the supposed savior of the world electric vehicles just suck.

Desperate Cali Dems Scramble to Recover Oil Production after Forcing Refineries Out

Anh oil company willing to do business with California is nuts. California Democrats will just turn on them when the politicals winds blow their way again.

Newsom and his ilk are still keeping cap-and-trade policies in place, as well as EV and other alternate transportation schemes in place and continuing with their lawsuits against oil and gas companies. But Newsom has allowed drilling in Kern county, something he and his friends bitterly opposed just a short time ago.

But that's about it. He signed a bill to force gas companies to maintain a stockpile so prices won't spike during a shortage, for instance, and of course he blames the gas companies for "price goughing".

Nothing he's doing will help with energy prices except perhaps in the immediate future.

Newsom claims the oil and gas company have "been lying to you for years and years" about how dangerous their product is. He demannds they pay for the fires that recently decimated the state, even though it was mismanagement by him and his fellow Democrats that caused that c atastrophe'.

The problem with beng a Progressive is that you can only run from the consequences of your own stupidity for so long. The music is ending and California now has to face the fact it isn't sitting in the chair. Party's over.

1  Will Alberta replace Cali? I listen to a you tuber called The Canadian Reporter who claims Alberta has plans to Wexit the Canadian Federation and possibly would like to join us.Thanks to Canadas far left policies that are strangling growth in Alberta the people living in Alberta want out. Alberta with its abundance of natural resources would be our richest state if that were to happen.

2 Interesting, Mike.

As far as Gov. Brylcream's latest scheme: doesn't he act like one of the kids in the sandbox, where they can play any game they want to and make anything come out the way they want it to, without regard for any rules? But I fear that with this attempt, he's gonna find that it'll won't be that a little dab'll do ya.

3 Interesting Mike; I can see Alberta doing that. Maybe Britiish Columbia too. Canada is going to hell in a handbasket and they would be wise to leave the Domi nion now. And why shouldn't we annex them? We'd probably have to split Alberta up into sev eral states, but all the better; it would mean more Republicans I suspect (not being familiar with how conser ative they are there.)

Apt analogy Dana. Yeah; he just makes up the rules as he goes along, and always to benefit him and his friends.
