Our “Non-Partisan” Media At Work

Dana Mathewson

This article is from Power Line, written by Steven Hayward, who often approaches the news of the day with humor -- the only way to keep his (and our) sanity, I believe. This is a great read!

Trump hasn’t even named his pick to succeed Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the Supreme Court, and already the media is stepping up to fulfill its role as the propaganda adjunct for the Democratic Party and its leftward-most pressure groups.

Like this NBC "News” story:

Trump front-runners ‘antithetical” to Ginsburg’s legacy, critics say

"Critics” say! Which critics? I’m surprised they don’t say "experts” just to give it that special CDC glow. I wonder what Anthony Fauci thinks? How long until the CDC declares that Ginsburg-Grief is a serious health threat that can only be cured if Trump appoints Nina Totenberg to the Supreme Court?

Anyway, to continue:

The women on President Donald Trump’s shortlist to replace Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the Supreme Court do not reflect Ginsburg’s legacy and could undo key civil rights victories she backed during her 27 years on the court, LGBTQ and civil rights advocates warn.

"Just having a woman, any woman, does not cut it,” Sunu P. Chandy, legal director of the progressive National Women’s Law Center, told NBC News. "We need someone with deep civil rights experience and background if we are looking to fill the legacy of her seat on the court.”

It’s really easy to be a reporter in the mainstream media when all you do is rewrite the press releases from leftist interest groups.

We'll likely see a lot more of this, because the President has promised to name his pick on Saturday, and it's only Wednesday. Plenty of time for the Drive-By Media to beclown itself more.

Go here for the rest of the article. You'll be glad you did!

1 I watch NBC Evening News, except on days when I just don't have the stomach for it. Lester Holt runs a 30-minute Democratic campaign commercial.

2 Bill, you have more stomach than my wife and I have (and I'm not commenting on your profile). It's really harrowing to watch the news these days, and we're basically watching Mark Levin's Sunday "feed."

3 I wasn't clear. I meant to say "we're basically ONLY watching Levin..."

4 In the article just above this one, Jassy May refers to the obnoxious gang as the "Lame Scream Media," and I think that's a wonderful term.

5 Fascinating how the media keeps insisting the any domestic tampering with the election is impossible, while at the same time warning the Russia is massively tampering with out elections. Do they not realize they they are admitting that the Russians are far more competent than we are>

6 I don't think they actually realize they are taking two incompatible positions, Bill.

For years I've said the really true liberal would be the guy with just two bumper stickers on his car: "War never solved anything" and "Free Tibet." I've never actually seen both of those on the same car, but I still hold out the hope.

Back when my wife and I used to sometimes have to provide the music at a Universalist Church, I saw a bumper sticker that said "Your pet is a better person than you are," and I came up with a few great rejoinders to THAT; good thing the owner was nowhere near! It's amazing how little thinking so-called thinkers do. . .

7 My condolences Bill; I would never have the stomach to watch Lester Holt. I caught him for about five minutes last week while I was in the hospital and he was a campaign ad for the Democrats.

And great point; how is Trump stealing the election when it is tamper-proof? Logic doesn't work with these people.

As Dana says, they don't really realize there is a contradiction; Orwell called that Double Think.
