Is it because of the horrible conflict in Tigray? Famine in Yemen? Plight of the Uyghurs? Because of climate change? Yet another Islamist terror attack in Europe? No. They're doing it because of American police misconduct.

It's a socially and economically compelled 'oath of allegiance' to an ideology that is fashionable. Not doing so would draw the wrath of the ESTABLISHMENT'S MEDIA and end their careers.

In other words, if the Establishment would currently support Nazism, they would instead be doing a Nazi salute. Which makes the gesture completely void of moral relevance and veracity.

1 Germany ought to be reminded who financed their rebuilding from the ashes of Nazi Germany. Not to mention who finances most of NATO, the threat of which, to an extent at least, keeps the Russkies from storming over the border again.

5 Tim, to respond to your idea that maybe this is what they think WE want, I doubt it. Especially now with the US no longer being the #1 power in the world, why would they violate their own standards to conform to ours?

6 Well, these are now INTERNATIONAL standards and appear to be the wave of the future Dana. They may just be getting on what they see as the right side of history.
