Go woke, go broke.
This week, Toyota announced that it will end its massive sponsorship deal with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) after the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Toyota, Samsung, HomeDepot, Bridgestone, Panasonic and 4 other companies withdrew their sponsorships of the games after the controversial opening ceremony.
Toyota’s decision comes amidst concerns about how the sponsorship money was utilized by the IOC. Toyota’s contract, valued at $835 million, covered four Olympic Games starting from the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics through to the upcoming Paris Games.
