Ocasio-Cortez is the gift that keeps on giving. She is the non-perv equivalent of Anthony Weiner. Recently Townhall.com reports she made this claim...
Democratic socialist and Congresswoman-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) compared her election victory to historic events in American history like the moon landing and the civil rights movement during a press conference about a "Green New Deal.â€
END OF QUOTE
As Ralph Kramden said on the Honeymoners, "One of these days, Alice, you're going to the moon!" But Alice was a whole lot smarter than Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and knew she wasn't going there.
In the 1970s, when I was in Israel, I learned the Hebrew slang term for a delusional person who wasn't centered was to call them an "astronaut." In that sense - and only that sense - is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez an astronaut.
I jist figured it out. Ocasional-Cortex wanted to say that she thought the moon landing was one of the greatest fake events in time, with Hollywood fooling everyone by staging it. Her election was also a great fake event where she got to fool many residents of the Bronx into believing that she was a poor girl from Southern Blvd.near Longfellow Ave. (where Michael Savage grew up in his early years - one block away from where I lived and Itzhak Perlman's parents bought my parents commission bakery). She fooled them into thinking she knew about economics because she had a diploma. Unfortunately, her diploma is just like the one the Wizard of Oz issued to the Scarecrow at the end of the movie. The Scarecrow at least understood the forces of nature, such as fire and birds picking at his straw, understandings that still evade Ms. Ocasional-Cortex.
When Martha Stewart said she felt like Nelson Mandela either after her jail sentencing or after her completion of her time in jail, it was also a great laughable ego trip. But at least she had much real world work experience and a degree from Columbia U. (studying art and architectural history) that wasn't some type of absentee degree where no one ever saw her in class in her years at Columbia such as was the case with Obama. And, obviously, Stewart learned much from her mother on home care and cooking and even worked as a maid, a real job, to cover her expenses as a student at this famous private university..
