No Change in Carbon Dioxide in Atmosphere Despite Major Drop in Economic Activity

Dr. Roy Spencer recently analyzed data from Mona Lua and showed there has been no reduction in atmospheric carbon dioxide as of yet, despite a slowdown in world economic activity.
But that activity has been curtailed. According to a Physorg article:

"According to an analysis carried out for Carbon Brief, the lockdown and reduction in economic activity in China led to an estimated 25% reduction in CO2
emissions over four weeks."
So why no drop in atmospheric carbon dioxide? There has not even been a change in the rate of growth, which speaks volumes.
