Israel has followed America lemminglike in a mass rush to leap off a cliff.
Netenyahu is out.
This despite the strong leadership Netanyahu displayed during the attacks by Hamas, and the fact his Likud party won the majority of seats.
It looks like they Trumped Mr. Netanyahu.
The Israelis do not realize the scope of this disaster; his replacement Naftali Bennett will undoubtedly follow a strategy of appeasement that could lead to a major war and certainly to many dead Israelis - and Palestinians.
Netanyahu failed to form a coalition to hold power despite having more votes. He now becomes the opposition leader and could return to power when Bennett screws up.

Bibi made one mistake, a number of times, and that was in training proteges and then casting them aside when he feared they were getting too strong. Bennett is one such, as are the other three who were in the running. At least he has experience in government, but he doesn't have Bibi's vision.
I fear Israel is in for a rough ride.

Yeah; Netenyahu hardly had a "grip" on power; it's impossible in a parliamentary system like Issrael's.
