In 1979 the U.S. government took over most of the funding of science in America. Almost immediately we had the global warming theory become a major topic of discussion. Coincidence? He who pays the bills is the boss. It's clear Nature knows who butters their bread.

Absolutely Dana; "science" now means pseudo-science, a pretend thing where "research" has foregone conclusions. It's as much science as phrenology (the study of bumps on your head to determine things about you) or Lysenkoism.
