I think this is the desperate "Throw anything you can at the wall and hope something sticks" ploy.

We can certainly hope so. I think we should use the ploy that if somebody calls you a racist, answer with the old, old expression "So's your old man!" And keep it up till they get tired of it and leave.

I agree Dana and use a variant of that myself when arguing with people who sling that around. It works too; they can't defend against it any more than you can defend against the original charge. (I often point that out too; racism accusations are like asking "so, when did you quit beating your wife?" They are SUPPOSED to be like that so you can't answer.
