Lisa Murkowski Censured Again by Alaska Republicans

They should expel her from the party entirely.

Murkowski is up for re-election in '28 and the GOP needs to start laying the groundwork for removing her. Among these should be the elimination of ranked choice voting and open primaries. While the state barely kept them in '24 there is a movement to put them on the ballot again next year. IF the GOP works hard to get them I suspect they can win in a revote. Murkowski won re-election in '22 in no small part because of ranked choice voting (where people rank their top choices, not just make one choice, and the top vote-getter of those wins. This empowers the incumbents because they always have higher name recognition and while they may come in second or third overall they will do better in ranking for second or third choice than some unknown .)

Murkowski has been a corrupt fence, straddling junior Democrat for years as was her father.

Alaska is an odd state politically; despite the fact the residents are proud of being independent and hearty they seem to love big government and though they vote Republican oftentimes the kind of Republicans they like are the most noxious of RINO globalists. I suppose it's because many Alaskans are too busy working to stay alive and want freebies from government, which RINO's are almost as willing to give as Democrats. So they reject the reallyi crazy stuff from the Democrats but want the social spending.

In Alaska residents all receive dividend checks for the sale of Alaskan oil and gas, for instance. This does lead to abuse and oftentimes punishment. (The show Alaskan Bush People had to be temporarily suspended when two of the family members went to prison for stealing the dividend by living in the lower 48 but claiming permanent Alaskan residency, for instance.) There are multiple other such programs. And many Alaskans like the state being mostly empty - it's why they moved there - so they ignore the draconian regulations imposed by the Feds, or the fact the Feds own much of Alaska.

At any rate Murkowski is the twin sister of Liz Chaney and she needs to go.
