I don't think this is a good idea. I prefer starting a new Mt. Rushmore with Reagan and Trump. Maybe Eisenhower. Oh, and while Rush Limbaugh wasn't a President maybe we can tack him up there too! Maybe Calvin Coolidge.

Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) has formally requested that President Donald Trump be added to Mount Rushmore, reigniting a long-discussed idea just ahead of Independence Day.
In a letter sent Thursday to U.S. Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum, Ogles called on the federal government to consider engraving President Trump’s likeness alongside George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln.

My suggestion would be to leave Mt. Rushmore as-is and find another mountain to start adding other heads to. But I really don't like that idea, because some group of idiots will want to put Jimmy Carter up there, or FDR, or (GAG) Obama.

I agree; more than likely some leftists will worm their way into a new statue group and turn it into Obama, Clinton, FDR, and Wilson.
Or they will blow up the statues of conservative Presidents. You know how they roll.
