More on Charlie Kirk

Timothy Birdnow

I couldn't get into this since it's an X post but I have a fair idea this involves more than one person too. I'm on record saying it smells of a black op.

Eyewitness believes multiple people were involved.

This was posted at Charlie Kirk's news aggregate site Citizens Free Press.

Meanwhile, Democrats on the House floor booed and catcalled a motion to honor Mr. Kirk. What a class act.

President Trump has ordered flags be flown at half-mast. I hope he gives Charlie the Medal of Freedom posthumously.

Kash Patel recently announced the FBI has released a second suspect and now has no leads at all. He is asking the public for any help they may give.(Doesn't that sound like a spook to you? And the assassin only fired one single shot, meaning he was very confident in his skills, unlike some "lone crazed gunman" who probably would have emptied his clip to make sure he got Kirk and maybe took out a few others to boot.)

I am afraid they may never capture the right guy, and if they do get someone it will be a deadhead, a patsy, a fall guy. This was very professionally done.

Sorry for all the links to X. Citizens Free Press has adopted the bad habit of linking to X a lot, and I am just grateful they are still up and running.

1 Yeah, with all those links to X/Twitter I'm thinking I may have to get an account. I actually had a Twitter account about twenty years ago but can't remember the login details. I do remember that, similar to Facebook, it was mainly a time suck, so I let it lapse. Ditto the account I established on Parler a few years ago, where I even had a few followers.

The perp who shot Charlie used a bolt-action rifle (wonder if the gun-control nuts will now start yelling for bolt-actions to be banned?) and if he didn't "work the bolt" he didn't leave a cartridge case. Though that doesn't matter since he apparently left the rifle itself. I've seen no indication of the caliber, only that it was a "high-power" rifle, but that designation is meaningless, as any center-fire rifle -- anything over a .22 cal rimfire -- is by definition "high-power."

2  One thing that has come out of this is the outing of those who cheered Kirk's death. They are finding out there are consequences to their actions, something they have gotten away with for too long.

3 Dana,I heard someone say it was a thirty ought six, but that may be heresay. (I think it was on Salem News; they've been wall-to-wall on this since Kirk was one of their hosts.) It strikes me as a poor weapon to use for such a task; if you want to make sure Kirk is dead, and maybe take a few of his followers with him, you would want a semi-automatic, methinks. The guy took Kirk out with one single shot. While, at 200 or so yards, it wasn't an impossible shot it was still pretty ballsy to assume you would succeed. He had just a couple of rounds, or at least that's what was found with the rifle.

Amen Mike! They have shown the world who and what they are.

4 Yes, it was a .30-06, which is an elderly cartridge (the "06" designation indicates it came into being in 1906) but still one of the best all-around in general use. He was obviously adept with guns and there's also a photo of him with a Browning .50 cal machine gun -- which is NOT a general-use firearm. At a range of 200 yards he was a good-enough shot to take out Kirk with one shot with iron sights -- sadly!

Of the different "flavors" of rifles, I've always heard it said that bolt-action rifles are the most accurate, all other things being equal. And there's the idea that if you normally use a bolt-action rifle, you are used to the fact that you get one shot, then have to cycle the bolt to reload before you can shoot again, which makes you more accurate because you can't just "throw lead" at a target the way you can with other types.

I grew up with a single-shot bolt action .22, and I was deadly with it. Used to shoot with a college friend who had a .22 pump gun, and with luck he could hit the side of a barn on a good day.
