This is why it's so important to control the courts in the states.
Minnesota high court sides with Democrats in struggle with Republicans over control of state House
The GOP held a 67 to 66 majority in the state House and Democrats sued to argue there was no quorum and thus they should retain control of that chamber. Republicans tried to actually set up as the rightful leaders but now the state supreme court has sided with the Democrats and stolen the state House from the GOP.
Disgraceful and shocking but not surprising.
Democrats had ditched their responsibilities, refusing to show up at the state cpitol to prevent the Republicans from setting up and voting in a Speaker.
The court issued a judgment without a legal argument and the Chief Just-ass said that would come later - in other words there was none, they were just making up law as they went along. Now they need time to find ways to make this stick.
The Justice said he assumed all parties would obey the order. The GOP should tells this guy to pound sand. Democrats are now saying all actions by Republicans are null and void.
There is a special election being held to fill a vacant seat caused by the Democrat elected not living in the district. She was disqualified (the Democrat Secretary of State let her assume office but a court kicked her out.)
Democrats always try to find a way to circumvent the law and to steal power where they do not acquire it honestly. They have become masters of using the courts.

I don't know how it works in Minnesota; are the Sups there appointed by the Governor or are they elected? Either way the GOP let this state of affairs arise.
