McCaskill Lies about Tax Reform Bill

Brian takes Sen. Claire McCaskill to the woodshed here:

Dear Senator McCaskill,
If you support real tax reform for Missouri's working families why did you support the Obama Administration's $5 trillion dollar tax, euphemistically known as the Affordable Care Act? That was probably the worst legislative act in the history og this great republic, and you supported it, because your guy, Barack The Boy Wonder, proposed it. Stop insulting our intelligence with these campaign promos.

Best,
Brian Birdnow

Here's Claire's sack of lies:

If you're a middle class American, there's a decent chance your taxes are going to go up because of the tax plan that Republican leaders in Congress just passed—but if you're a rich hedge-fund manager, your taxes are almost definitely going down.

The tax plan by Republican leaders isn't real tax reform. I know, because I support real tax reform, and I've been eager to work with colleagues on both sides of the aisle to pass such reform.

What I said to President Trump when we sat down together earlier this year is still true today—I'd jump at the chance to support a plan to deliver relief to Missouri's working families, simplify the tax code, close loopholes exploited by the rich, and lower the corporate tax rate.

I know from my nearly 50 public town halls across Missouri this year that those are goals most Missourians share.

Unfortunately, the tax plan passed by Congressional leaders doesn't live up to the commitment I got from President Trump, when he told me he wouldn't support tax reform that benefited the very rich at the expense of the little guy.

It's clear why their tax plan was written behind closed doors, and passed by the Senate Republicans in the middle of the night before anyone could read and fully understand it. The Republican-drafted plan will further complicate the tax code, keep open those loopholes for the rich, deepen the national debt, and give the vast majority of benefits to millionaires and billionaires—all while hurting working families.

End excerpt.

She goes on to link several articles from such unbiased sources as The Washington Post, AARP, and other Left-wing mainstream media outlets who would accuse Trump of misanthropy if he gave away all his money on the streets to poor people.

McCaskill is also a monumental liar. She says:

"Under this plan (in which the wealthy make out like bandits), even if you're one of the working families who get some of the scraps, you may ultimately get hurt anyway—because those benefits are only temporary and may result in devastating cuts to social services,"

End excerpt.

Yes, this cut expires (as did Geoerge W. Bush's) not because it's not a good idea but because it was the only way to get it to pass through reconcilliation. In other words, Claire McCaskill's own party is determined to stop any and every tax cut and when the GOP goes around them they have the gall to complain about sunset provisions.

And she knows there won't be "devastating cuts in social services" but that is real scary sounding.

And she complains about the cuts not helping the poor and "working families" - the old catchphrase. Well, whose fault is that? Her party is the one demanding that the cuts be "paid for" as if you actually have cuts in such a case. The reality is corporations don't come to America because of the high corporate tax ratesw, and she knows it. And the GOP is proposing a modest two percent cut in rates for the top one percent, less than anyone else is getting. You can't keep ratcheting up on those with money or they stop spending it.

Missouri and America will be a far better place once we get rid of this old bat.
