Mark Volman, guitarist and singer and founder of the sixties pop-rock band The Turtles is dead at age 78.
The Turtles had such hits as Happy Together, Can I get to Know You, She'd Rather Bewith Me, Eleanor,etc.
According to his publicist, Ame Van Iden, he died in a hospital from a blood disease . Mr. Volman had been diagnosed with Lewy body dementia in 2020.
