Manchin to Run for President?

Joe Manchin may run as 3rd party presidential candidate since he's not going to be reelected senator from West Virginia where Trump won twice by 40 points. He's behind the Republican Senate candidate even though Manchin's the incumbent.

I'm not sure how I feel about that. On the one hand he should peal away Democrts who don't like Biden, but on the other Trump has made inroads into the Democrat labor base - which would be Manchin's core as well. And he would no doubt get the votes of RINOs. I imagine David French at Jonah Goldberg would be happy to vote Manchin. So this may well hurt the GOP more than the Democrats. Maybe.
He should be on a ticket with Liz Chaney...

Manchin has a lot going for him, BUT if he decides to run for Prez as a third party candidate you can start calling him Ross Perot. Manchin would be better off sitting back and hoping to be picked for a position in somebody's administration.

I agree. And Manchin IS still a Democrat, even if a moderate one by today's insane standards.
