A December government shutdown looms: Where negotiations stand
At this point I suspect the Democrats will get the blame, and the election is over so why not shut it down?
May as well just let the thing shut down until after the inauguration.

By all means, shut it down. Our pocketbooks are not safe when government is in session -- ever.
