Latest in Race Fakery

Dana Mathewson

First there was Rachel Dolezal, and for a time she was all alone on the dungheap. Then, a short time ago, Jessica Krug showed up. Now it appears the dam has broken.

Steven Hayward writes in Power Line:

We’ve reported here previously on the case of George Washington University history professor Jessica Krug, who was forced to resign her tenured position when she was exposed for claiming to be black when she is, and has always been, white. For this she was awarded our brand new Rachel Dolezal Award for Race Fakery.

Looks like we’re going to have to order more award statues from Chy-na because more such cases of race fakery are starting to stack up like cordwood. We reported that a similar case had emerged at the University of Wisconsin in the case of CV Vitolo-Haddad, and now Vitolo-Haddad followed the example of Krug and has resigned, though her explanation is full of the usual post-modernist gobbledygook:

"In trying to make sense of my experiences with race, I grossly misstepped,” Vitolo-Haddad wrote in a September 8 article on the blogging platform Medium. "I went along with however people saw me. I over-identified with unreliable and unproven family history and latched onto anything I remembered growing up.”

Expressing deep regret to those "I deceived by inserting myself into Black organizing spaces I didn’t belong in,” Vitolo-Haddad called the deception "parasitic and harmful.”They [Haddad prefers "they” as her pronoun, of course] went on to realise that "perception is not reality” and "ace is not flat” but a "social construct rife with contradictions.”

Oh-kay. Meanwhile, there’s a new case out of Indianapolis. The Star reports:

Satchuel Cole, a highly visible community leader advocating for racial and social justice in Indiana, has apologized for misleading people about Cole’s own race, saying "I have taken up space as a Black person while knowing I am white.”

Cole — who uses pronouns they/them — worked with Indy10 Black Lives Matter and Indy SURJ, apologized and admitted lying in a social media post. Cole, who also was active in the LGBTQ community, did not respond to multiple phone messages and emails from Indy Star this week.

"Friends, I need to take accountability for my actions and the harm that I have done. My deception and lies have hurt those I care most about. I have taken up space as a Black person while knowing I am white. I have used Blackness when it was not mine to use. I have asked for support and energy as a Black person. I have caused harm to the city, friends and the work that I held so dear,” Cole posted on a Facebook page under the name Satch Paige.

[...]

Exit question: If your gender is a matter of choice and is "fluid,” and if race is a "social construct,” why can’t you choose your race, too?

This is a great article and I urge you to read it (found here  https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2020/09/the-latest-in-leftist-fakery.php), but don't have a mug of coffee (or whatever) in your hand: Hayward writes with a delicious amount of snark.

1 Why would a white person try to make him/her self black?  White privilege?  Seems the privilege is in being a "person of color".

Hey, if you can change sex by wishing and clicking your heels together why can't you change race?

Five reason why smoking marijuana makes you a better parent

Energy, Marijuana is a very malleable drug, capable of affecting you in different ways. Depending on your mood and the time of day it will produce drastically different reactions. Many people vouch for their morning smoke, claiming that it gives them much more energy than coffee. Sativas are known for producing very energizing and creative highs; take advantage of them.

Be The 'Cool' Parent, For real. Your kids are going to be super proud that their parents are in tune with their youthful side and that they don't care what other parents think. Marijuana will also help you be more relaxed and will give you some perspective for those moments when you're super stressed or angry.

Be Youthful, Marijuana makes you joyful and giggly, which is something that you don't associate with "old people." It also relaxes you and makes you less uptight, which your kids will love. All of these traits will make you a more understanding and welcoming parent, someone who they'll turn to when they need some advice or simply want to have a conversation.

Sleep Peacefully,Sometimes you need to go to bed and sleep like a baby and marijuana is the best option for this, providing manageableside effects and leaving you refreshed and powered up for the next day.

Hobbies Bring People Together,Smoking marijuana can also turn into ahobby, where you learn about the plant and its surrounding culture. Sharing this with your spouse will bring you two together and provide a fun experience that will reverberate through your household.
