Killing Independent Contractors

Below is my post from one year ago... a warning about California's law AB5 outlawing independent contractors and freelancers. Now this same law is being passed by the Democrat congress (PRO Act) ... Be advised!

"And in California, a well-meaning labor law AB5 is having disastrous unintended consequences. Thousand of MAJOR festivals and events are cancelling; the entire EVENTS, ARTS and FILM industries are scrambling with the one-two punch of the Virus and the Law.
The law literally makes it illegal to hire an 'independent contractor'. One person I know (posted yesterday) has been fined $66,000.00 already for sending out clowns, jugglers, etc. to children's parties.
Need I say which political party sponsored and is defending AB5? "(March 2020) JIM CHRULSKI TAKE NOTE!

1 So... once again, government types who likely have never actually been gainfully employed a day in their lives are messing with those who have and want to continue to be. Good Heavens, it ought to be illegal to be a Democrat!
