Kentucky Fried Chicken is leaving the purple border state for the soldly red Texas.
KFC Relocating U.S. Headquarters From Kentucky to Texas
Yes, the Colonel is rolling over in his southern-fried grave!
Kentucky has a Democrat for Governor and Mitch McConnell for Senator; is it any wonder the king of arterie-clogging fast food is moving to a place where fried chicken and barbequed beef are actually appreciated?

Yeah; we have a couple of grocers around here that more than give them a run for their money.
Sadly they are owned by a giant conglomerate named Yum Foods. Pizza Hut and Taco Bell are their siblings. Yum foods looks solely at the bottom line, nothing more. That was what went into this decicion to move to Plano, to have a consolidated corporate office.
But what is Kentucky without KFC? I visited my brother in Louisville and we ate at a restaurant and the fried chicken there was utterly delicious. Louisville is known for some of the best fried chicken around. Texas is burritos and steaks.

I've been told that Popeye's offers very good chicken. The only time I've gone there I ordered gumbo, which was excellent. I keep saying I want to go there again, but there isn't one close, and I don't "do" fast food all that much anyhow.
