Bingo. And, Jack, the people Jesus and his disciples fed with the loaves and fishes weren't necessarily poor, they were merely people who came to hear His message, and it just happened that Jesus was speaking in an area where there were no purveyors of food. The people (with the apparent exception of the lad who had brought his lunch with him) hadn't come prepared for a long day of instruction and therefore hadn't brought their own provisions. One CAN extrapolate that these folks probably weren't the "upper crust" of the society, because Jesus' message appealed more to the poor and downtrodden.
And it's not going too far to believe that Jesus chose just such a place to preach, with the idea that He knew exactly what He was going to do as far as producing a miracle with the feeding. Jesus never did anything by accident.
