How can Americans of any stripe be consuming ANY mainstream media news at this point, after these "news" sources have repeatedly lied to us?
Mainstream news is to information what Pork Rinds are to nutrition.
Yet Americans are STILL dutifully consuming it as if it were accurate and fair. What is wrong with the people in this country? How many times do we have to be lied to before we say "no mas" and move to more reliable news sources?
Until we get the public to turn away from the liars at the networks we will never be able to restore the American republic.

Well, people watch the news that agrees with their prejudices; that tells them what they want to hear. That's how the New York Times has stayed in business for so long. You can't force people to watch or read stuff they don't agree with.
You and I don't watch "The View," do we?

Dana, that's true of news junkies and those who hold strong opinions on current events but a lot of people who just float on the breeze watch the news so they can think they are "informed" and they are the ones watching the mainstream media because they still believe that's where you get fair and balanced information. America still believes in that lie. It is they who I worry about. How could anyone still put ANY stock in the mainstream media? I understand reading the Leftist blogs and journals if you are a leftist, but the mainstream media is dishonest to the core and never reports any truth at all and that should be as offensive to Leftists as to the Right. They don't really get a fair shake either.
The reason I quibblle with your point here is that the last election proves that the mainstream media is NOT where most Amerricans are but it's still a force to be reckoned with and it still twists and distorts our collective view of the world. We have work to do.

Well, how are we gonna get them to switch to Fox and Newsmax? It is heartening to see that some of the standard purveyors are (supposedly) attempting to clean up their acts; it was A Good Thing when Bari Weiss was put in charge of (what was it?) ABC, for example. (I can't keep track of the alphabets.)
