Juneteenth has Nothing to do with Africa

Warner Todd Huston

Isn't it just like liberals to ruin everything. They finally make Juneteenth a holiday, and what do they do to it? They festoon it in the red, green and black colors of Africa. The country of Africa has ZERO to do with Juneteenth except in the most tangential way. It is the celebration of the end of slavery in the USA. The colors should be red, white, and blue. In fact, there was STILL slavery in Africa on Junteenth!!!! AND for more than 100 after Juneteenth!

1  Reading the news from the so-called celebration one could say it was some sort of open season they have on each other.

2 Reminiscent of members of Congress wearing African scarves and kneeling on the floor of the rotunda in the Capitol building. Toxic silliness.

3 I know Mike, right!  If that were a white thing and there were as many shootings as Juneteenth the media would be screaming bloody murder for gun control and the FBI investigating.

It was a bloodbath.

The sad thing is most of them probably don't even know why this is a national holiday or what it represented. Just another excuse to get drunk and raise hell.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on Juneteenth. While the colors chosen for its celebration may vary, it's important to remember that Juneteenth represents the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States. The focus is on honoring their history and struggles. | Roof repair services.

6 After reading the reports about the alleged celebration, one would get the impression that they are letting loose on each other like it is open season. geometry dash

7 Lucia thanks for the comment Bear in mind they were African Americans freed - not Africans. Their ancestors had been here, often for many decades. The importation of slaves was banned in the U.S. in 1808.
