In the Democrat go-to play, a judge has jut blocked DOGE access to the Treasury Department financial records. The Democrats are desperately trying to hid what they've been doing all these years and to slow the Trump juggernaut down.
According to the Blaze:
U.S. District Court Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly said that the DOGE workers could only have "read-only" access to the data at the Treasury Department after the unions' attorneys argued that they were violating privacy statutes.
The unions are being represented by the Public Citizen Litigation Group and the State Democracy Defenders Fund.
How do records on how the Treasury Department spends money violate the privacy of labor union members? For that matter how did these unions even have standing to file?
You can read between the lines:
30
Which means Treasury has been giving money to people who have no right to that money.
It is impossible to do an audit without actually seeing what is being spent.
This judge knows this, which is why he put the hold on the work of DOGE in the first place.
The 81 year old judge was appointed in 1997 by Bill Clinton and she has been a reliably leftist jurist throughout her tenure of office. She is the prime example of an activist judge.
I suspect she will be overturned on appeal but it buys time for the Treasury to cover it's tracks.
