According to this article in Twitchy, the Jan. 6 hearings were a ratings bomb with most Americans turning it off.
Despite efforts to claim it was a huge success (CNN bragged it had 20 million viewers, which is weak for prime time at the best, but isn't even accurate) Joe Concha points out that 18 to 20 million viewers combined generally watch the newscasts of PBS, NBC, and CBS and those are not prime-time shows, yet this little morality play drew a scant 11 million viewers more or less.
And why not? This was already gone over in the second Trump impeachment. He was acquitted of the charges being leveled against him now.
The public already heard all of this.
And given there were no Republicans on this committee (Liz Chaney is no longer a Republican, having been kicked out of by her own state GOP) it was clearly just a political commercial.
And Trump is no longer President; they Democrats are beating a dead horse.
Which violates Saul Alinsky rule #7 "a tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag". Clearly this is ABC News gum (strangely not chewed by ABC but by the other "news" outlets.)
Maybe the media can run a special on the Iran Contra Affair next, or on the Valerie Plame affair? I mean, this is REAL news!
