It Doesn't Add Up

Granted he may have wanted the gory glory of removing the Orange skullcap from Mr. Trump's noggin. A body shot may have seemed too prosaic for this jerk.
So this scumbag knew how to get withing 450 feet of the former President and NOBODY IN THE SECRET SERVICE THOUGHT TO CHECK THE BUILDING. In fact, witnesses say theytold the Secret Service they saw someone up there and were ignored.
He also knew to shoot for the head.
Seems to me he was well-educated on what to do.
I do not believe the "lone crazed gunman" shibboleth at all.
Authorites have his parents barricaded in their home and won't let anyone in our out. That in itself is interesting. Seems to me normally they would just bring these people in for questioning.
So let us recap. A 20 year old kid decides to murder candidate and former President Donald Trump. he'sa REGISTERED REPUBLICAN and using an AR 15 semiautomatic rifle. (He donated money to Code Blue, the Bolshevik group though.) He carts a weapon and ammo through heavy traffic to an unguarded building where he sets up shop on the roof (wasn't the place locked? How did he get in?) He makes it up to the top, sets up, and fires, barely missing the former President. Gets off six shots before the Secret Service snipers conveniently kill him (thus making it impossible to go any further with an investigation.) He knows to try for a head shot. He also has strange devices in his car which authorities suspect could be for use in setting off bombs. All this from a kid who is currently unemployed, or works for a nursing home, depending on who is speaking (different stories give different accounts.) Eye witnesses warned the Secret Service to no avail.

Whole lotta things don't add up here, including the rules that stipulate the SS can't shoot until they're in a shoot-back situation. And Trump's SS team wasn't, shall we say, the most professional bunch in the world -- by a long shot. It's as though everybody figured hey, this is a small town and small venue, nobody's gonna bother us here.
I sure hope that the next time Our Mr. Trump goes out to a rally, he has better protection.
A day before all this happened, Clay Travis and Buck Sexton were saying they'd like to pay for more protection for Trump themselves, because of all this trash-talk about how "Trump is Hitler" etc., and how it's gonna lead to trouble. Guess they were right!

Trump does indeed need more and better protection.
I think the Secret Service did a poor job at that rally. Why don't they have drones in the air? Why didn't they stake out that building, just outside the security perimeter? Why did they ignore people who warned them someone was on the roof?
But you may remember Democrats tried to strip Trump of protection in the first place; methinks some of them wanted this to happen. Given the cheering on social media by "progressives" we know that at least a good sized swath of Democrats certainly did want this; they wish the guy hadn't missed.

I know it would be a tedious job, but everybody who made those remarks on social media should be hunted down and arrested.

Yeah; people need to go to jail for it. If it isn't a crime to threaten public officials it REALLY is a crime to threaten the President (which Trump is anyway even if Biden was able to steal it.)
