3 At least, I don't have electric cars (toys for the rich) to deal with. Over the years I've had some bitter times pumping gas in the middle of the winter, but always accepted them as the price for living in a "Temperate Zone."

4 On very cold days dead batteries are a problem with gas cars; imagine how bad it will be with EV's!

Temperate climate? I guess Minnesota is considered temperate,  since it does get hot sometimes in summer there.

Missouri is considered temperate too,  but it feels more like the subtropics much of the year. We do get a cold snap or two in winter, granted.
