Is the Biden N95 Free Mask Program Really About Nuclear Fallout?

In a discussion on Covid masking Dana Mathewson states:

You mean, cloth masks won't deter nuclear radiation? Does Dr. Fauci know this?

Tim responds:

Actually Dana, cloth masks would be some help to keep you from inhaling fallout (which is basically dust). An N95 mask would do better.

Which brings something to mind...

Biden handed out a bunch of N95 masks recently. I got a few free from my drug store. Now he knew the pandemic was winding down and the CDC was going to have to end the mandate soon. Why hand out expensive N95 masks at the END of a pandemic?

Was it perhaps because he knew he was going to lead us into war with a nuclear power? Did he want people having masks in case of the Big One?

How much haven't we heard from our brave leaders?

N95's offer some protection from viruses, more from bacteria. But they are great at filtering out dust. Fallout is irradiated dust.

Of course, if you are taking that much fallout, you are in big trouble even if you aren't inhaling it.

There is something very odd about all this.

1 There certainly is. Meanwhile, with all the masking when you go to a health care facility, you see even the providers (doctors, etc.) wearing all sorts of different masks. I was at my doctor's clinic today and she was wearing what looked like a cheap mask as opposed to one of the N95 ones (too bad, because my doctor should never have her face covered, since she's very lovely). I was wearing an N95 and my wife was wearing a cloth mask (which is worthless), and nobody said anything about it.

And I trust my clinic and everyone in it.

2 For a while the hospitals were making us put on surgical masks they provided. I took Cathy to the ophthomology department at SLU hospital and they said nothing about our cheap cloth masks this time. Neither did my GP at St. Mary's. Given the mandate is ending everywhere I suppose they figure it was pointless to keep pushing it.

3 While Martha and I were in the hospital recently, we weren't required to wear our masks in our rooms, but all staff and nurses wore them when they came to minister to us. I was sorry for that, because I had the conviction that most of my nurses were foxes.

4 I was in the hospital at the height of this and they never made me wear a mask. The nurses did tough. They said as long as I stayed in the room I was exempt.

Good thing; I went in because I was having trouble breathing.

Tough luck on those nurses being burkha'ed.
