Rampaging RINO's and Wily Coyotes
Timothy Birdnow
Trump says Killer Karl Rove and John "I'm as corny as" Cornyn will be at fault if Ken Paxton loses to Tallimebananarico.
Trump is right; Cornyn has actively worked against Paxton, encouraging his followers to vote against him. As for Rove, he's long been the Bush family lawyer and despises any real conservatives. Paxton is such.
And Paxton has gotten little to no money from the Republican National Committee, showing the RINO's still have a stranglehold on the party.
When Conservatives lose the RINO wing tells us to suck it up and vote for the RiNO, but when we win they take their ball and go home. I long for the day when the RINO wing can be safely kicked out of the GOP entirely and then they can go hang with the Democrats, who won't have them, of course. They will learn the hard way that the Dems were never their friends, just used them to gain power.
Anyway we need to purge Rove from any position of power and that includes his job and his seat on the board of directors at Fox News. Fox is moving ever leftward and it is going to ruin them in years to come (and probably us as well unless Newsmax or OANN grow big).
BTW I hear Sean Hannity was responsible for taking out Katie Zacharia, launching a surprise attack on her when she was interviewed by Hannity. Word on the street has it that Zacharia was not the spokeswoman of choice for Susie Wiles, Trump's Chief of Staff and a good friend of Hannity's.
Her tenure of office was even shorter than the next shortest - Anthony Scaramucci. The Mooch at least lasted a full week.
I know little about Zacharia but she apparently padded her resume', giving the impression she was a lawyer when in fact she failed the bar (something quite common). If we are to dismiss people for resume' padding most of Washington would be gone.
I've never trusted Susie Wiles. She ran the RINO John Huntsman's Presidential campaign, for instance, which does not speak well for her commitment. I would add she is the daughter of NFL star and broadcaster Pat Summerall and that she has never held a ral job outside of politics, starting her career as a receptionist for politician Jack Kemp.
Anyway I don't trust Wiles; I think she is Wily. And if Katie Zacharia was a bad pick because of her record why didn't Wiles know that and bring it up to Trump? Sounds to me like she was either derelict in her duty to vet Zacharia or she put a hit on her. Either way I feel Zacharia has gotten a raw deal here. She should at least have been given a couple of weeks.

Omar Lashes Out (but What Else is New)
Timothy Birdnow
This from the brother-marrying son daughter of a genocidal military man.
lhan Omar
@IlhanMN
Thank you to everyone who stood with me over the years. It’s been a scary journey but I have always been grounded in my work and ability to provide exemplary service to my constituents. Trump and his administration have been after me since I arrived in Congress. I have always stood up to him and that will never change. The pedophile protector will never silence me.
She sure is cocky. And calling Trump a pedophile when she married her brother is pure bravado.
One of the commenters (before she shut them off) scoffed, saying Omar was exonerated over these charges in 2019. I hate to break it to the brother lover and this fellow but not only did a Federal judge issue the search warrant by a BIDEN APPOINTED federal judge who is a protege' of James Boasberg. There is new information that has come to light. And even the Biden DOJ had half-heartedly investigated the "riches to rags" Congress chick.
(BTW she looks like a trannie to me. And she never takes that scarf off her noggin; I wonder what is under there. Maybe it's just empty space?)

Trump Suspends 100% Tariffs on Top Importers of Russian Oil
Timothy Birdnow
Zelensky really should have known better than to flip Trump the bird.
Beggars can't be choosers and ingrates wind up losers.
While the President did not name the five largest customers for Russian crude they are China, India, Turkey, and the European Union.
The Lindsay Graham sanctions had a provision that said the President could waive these sanctions if he believed it was in the national interest. Trump invoked that to Congress, although he did not say HOW it is in the national interest. (Of course that should be self-explanatory as the price of diesel has exploded and at this point we would be killing allies and countries with which we are not at war at the moment. It clearly would be in our interest to avoid a world-wide economic crash.)
But the pleasant thing about this is Zelensky bombed oil refineries after Trump asked him nicely to not do that, and when asked about it he dismissed Trump and America's concerns with a haughty "I'm done". Well, so are we Mr. Zelensky.
If you or any other country wants our help you had best be polite to us. Gone are the days where foreign "allies" could dump all over us and still expect us to pick up the check at the end of the day.
We're done!

The reality is Ukraine has already damaged Russias ability to produce diesel for years so why should Zelensky care. What I dont understand is why the European countries arent on Zelenskys butt. In Belgium diesel is going for about $9.15 a gallon. Talk about a hurting, yet they are silent as Zelensky makes it tougher on them. The trade off must be what Ukraine is doing to the Russian military in losses in men and material. Ukraine has managed to reclaim about 150 square miles of territory. The territory reclaimed is a junk yard of burned out Russian vehicles and rotting corpses of dead Russians.Losses in men run from 500,000 to a million. Losses in material is running in the 100s of billions. To bad Trump cant make Putin see the light and sit down and talk peace.

Wages Up, Openings Up, for American Construction Workers Thanks to Trump Enforcement of Immigration Law
Timothy Birdnow
Wages are rising and job openings are plentiful in construction in America as a result of the Administration kicking illegal aliens out of the country. Amazingly, this is how the pro-amnesty Wall Street Journal puts it:
Imagine my tears flowing over this unhappy news.
This article is paywalled and only gives the first couple of paragraphs but the good folks at Breitbart
summarize it here.
From the Breitbart article:
American construction workers in Florida who build the wooden frames for housing can now charge roughly $42 per hour, up from $20 per hour, Scott Brannock, president of Jacksonville-based Tidewater Homes and the Northeast Florida Builders Association, told the newspaper.
"We’re almost dead in the water because our [foreign migrant] workforce is gone,” he complained in the October 16 report.
"A September survey from the National Association of Home Builders found the cost of labor had increased a median of 4.2% from the previous year,” the newspaper reported.
The loss of migrant labor in Americans’ national labor is forcing CEOs to hire more Americans, the newspaper noted.
Oh, the horror! Imagine; having to hire American workers and pay them better!
This is grounds for celebration for everyone except maybe the owners of these companies; more work, better work, better pay for everyone. And this will entice more Americans - especially the young - to get into the trades and off their parents' basement couches.
What will this accomplish? Kids will choose the trades over college, depriving academia of their money and preventing them from creating little Democratic Socialists. It's a win-win for America, if you ask me.
People who own construction companies are usually quite wealthy from it; it's long been a very lucrative trade. While I like people being able to become wealthy I do NOT want them to do so at the expense of everyone else. Yes, they are making a product people want and need, but they are cheating to do so with illegal labor. And they are wrecking the country in the process. It's anti-American.
Yes, this may add to the price of housing in the short term but this will force construction companies to devise new, more efficient ways of doing things.
And frankly, my experience with alien labor has been bad; they usually are careless and make a mess and don't show up on time. In other words they bring the same standards they had in Nicaragua or whatever Third World Hellhole they fled in the first place.
Well, that's not acceptable and shouldn't be. But because they work cheap the owners want it and they have had both parties in our government on-board with turning a blind eye to illegal immigration so the gravy train can keep rolling.
I have long argued that the situation is analogous to the Antebellum South. The South was agrarian with large plantations owned by rich guys and they all made out well with free labor - slave labor. It ruined the entire economy of the old South; working people couldn't compete with free labor and while a few small businesses and farms did survive most of them wound up going bankrupt and being purchased by the big plantations. Wages were depressed because of it too and a man in need of a job usually couldn't afford to live on the poor wages, assuming he could find a job at all.
In the North factories were being built and small farms were ubiquitous. Many Southern families moved north to take jobs or buy land or whatnot.
The North boomed and the South withered and that was because the South had slavery and the North did not.
While the illegals aren't slaves they ARE abnormally cheap labor. And in some ways that is even worse, as slaveholders had to provide housing and food and medical care to the slaves while the cheapskate company owners need do none of that. So slavery was limited by economics to a degree but illegal labor offers a virtually unlimited pool to draw from at below market rates.
This has made the whole Western World lazy and indolent and decadent. Nobody has to work anymore but instead lives off the dole with aliens to "do the work Americans Just Won't Do". But Americans just won't do those jobs because they don't have to, and even if they want to they won't do them for below-market rates.
Another aspect of this; the low cost of alien labor is the primary reason businesses want them, but after a few years in America these laborers will seek out something more for themselves. Especially if given amnesty. So they move on to jobs Americans Just WILL Do and take those jobs from a qualified citizen. But the need for cheap labor is still there and the companies are addicted to it as if it were Fentanyl or something. So they recruit more low-class aliens to come and take these jobs. It's a machine; as the aliens make good they move to better jobs and then more have to be brought in. More and more, as America becomes increasingly unlike herself but more like Latin America or some other place. It erodes our culture, our heritage, our way of life.
And cheap labor stifles innovation. Who is going to invest in perhaps expensive new tools when you have grunt labor to do it for you?
In the end the Wall Street Journal shows their true colors; they don't care about America but rather about a few rich guys making more money off of the average citizen. In the end we pay for all of this - through our tax dollars which go to pay for social services, schools, police and fire, etc. And we pay by having our voes watered down when illegals vote. And we lose representation in Congress since illegals are counted towards representation, even though they technically are not allowed to vote.
So the Wall Street Journal can go to Eh E Double Hockey Sticks.

Judge Rules New York May Maintain Sanctuary Policies
Timothy Birdnow
The judge's name is Ramon Reyes. Maybe we should check HIS immigration status!
The Supremacy Clause is the pertinent law here, and it trumps the state laws and even federal immigration laws. States cannot annul the laws of the Federal government and cannot refuse to cooperate with it.
This jerk needs to be slapped down HARD.
It's time for the U.S. Supreme Court to rule on sanctuary cities/states. They are a blatant violation of the Constitution and as such have no legal leg to stand on.

But there are almost no illegal votes they tell us. Seems like an awful lot of people are being arrested for not voting illegally.

Omar in Bigger Trouble than Thought
Timothy BIrdnow
News Nation is
reporting that investigators have been going through the trash of Ilhan Omar, the genteel, mannerly Somali woman who just happens to work in the House of Representatives.
This is the sort of thing the FBI does with Mafiosa.
News Nation tweeted:
NewsNation sources say the likely coming indictments will be stunning in nature and far beyond anything the public has understood the case to be about.
And THAT I believe. I am certain Omar is corrupt through and through and she figured her race and aggression would protect her, that nobody would look twice at her. It would have worked too had Trump not been re-elected; Harris certainly wouldn't have taken a second glance at her.
I suspect she's filthy with money from the Somali scams ongoing in Minnesota, and in fact I suspect she is one of the architects of that thievery.
At any rate this is a big deal and hopefully they found what they were seeking. This woman needs to go to jail - then be deported back to Somalia

Chuck Lorre; A Pilgrim's Journey
Timothy Birdnow
I always assumed Chuck Lorre, the television producer known for the Big Bang Theory and Two and a Half Men, was a liberal. He probably is, but he's a better man than I thought.
Lorre says:
When civilizations or cultures took God out of the picture, they replaced it with a Communist party, with a fascist dictator,” Lorre said during his appearance on Tuesday’s episode of The Joe Rogan Experience.
"It’s the same idea: ‘Organize around me. It doesn’t matter if I’m right or not, organize around me.’ And people will,” the producer warned. "And if you take that away from them, they get angry.”
"It freaks them out,” Lorre added. "Because it’s like the tent pole. That tent pole moves, the tent comes down and everything, you know, if you believe that this is the truth and someone says, ‘No, it’s not. It’s bullshit,’ everything else you believe is in fair play. Everything.”
Good analogy. As Tevye says in Fiddler on the Roof "I pulled out a thread and where has it led"? Tevye was portrayed as a man who couldn't accept that things change, and it is true you DO have to adapt to change, but there are eternal things, unmovable truths. It is THAT which the Left has attacked and it is THAT which cannot be removed without disaster.
This tent pole theory applies to the Left because if you go after one of their core principles you can take the whole leftist stupidity down. They will fight to the bitter end to defend every and any aspect of it because if you pull one thread Liberalism unravels.
Lorre went on:
"The real solution — I’m going to say it and then regret it — but the real solution is a spiritual solution. You have to find something beyond this world,” he said.
Rogan then chimed in, asking, "Why would you regret saying that?” before inquiring with a laugh: "Because you live in L.A.? Because you’re in your bubble?”
The Young Sheldon producer responded by stating that he didn’t want to be associated with "new age bullshit.”
"But I don’t know any other way,” Lorre added. "And I do know that in my own life, seeking a spiritual illusion — not finding it, but the act of seeking it — there’s some salvation in that.”
Not sure if he's tried Christianity, probably not. Christ is the REAL solution; all others are imitators. And bad imitators at that.
I hope he finds his way to a Christian church and looks around until he finds the right one. Me, I'm all for his becoming a good Catholic, but a Protestant or Orthodox would be fine too (as long as he doesn't become one of the crazy liberal Protestants.) But I will pray he finds Christ and in that peace. He admits wealth and ownership of things is not the answer.
At any rate Lorre is in an unique position to be a force for great good in this world. Hopefully he'll find what he seeks and uses his influence to rescue a society that is bereft of the eternal things.

New York Jews Abandoning Democrats
Timothy Birdnow
The Democrats have
lost a lot of the Jewish vote and the media Democrat complex is shocked, SHOCKED that Jews are abandoning people calling for a new pogram against Israel and Jewish people.
Democrats are polling at +13 when they used to poll at +49% according to New York's generic ballot poll.
That the Democrats are polling at plus 13 is disgraceful; how can they when Momdani has been ginning up hate against them? But libeals are liberals, no question.
Still, it is one more good sign for America. Maybe they will kick Kathy Hochul out of office.

Where is Omar?
Timothy Birdnow
Hide and seek with Democrats is becoming common in this election cycle.
James Talarico isn't the only Democrat who disappeared without a word.
Ilhan Omar has been invisible since the raid on her home, leading to rumors she has fled the country (we should be so lucky).
Her husband, a political consultant,
blew his stack when asked about a possible flight by the genteel Ilhan.
Tim Mynett, Omar's husband of record (no relation this time) was caught by Fox Digital and asked about the whereabouts of his soft-spoken wife:
"You guys are annoying the hell out of all the neighbors around here, man,"
Which is, of course, no answer.
I wonder if Talarico and Omar went to the same place for their respective "vacations"? Maybe they had a little triste while they were at it?
So where is Omar? She really belongs in jail.

Flying the Friendly Skies
Timothy Birdnow
Meet George Jetson!
The crazy bugger actually went and built a flying car!
But I'll bet it won't fold up into a suitcase when he's done.
From the article:
usk showed off the car at an event outside Waco, Texas, with a demonstration that saw the car use a mixture of high-powered fans and thrusters to drive up an inverted ramp, spin around, and ease itself to a landing on the pavement below. The car also used the thrusters to lift itself over a Cybercab, Cybertruck, Tesla Semi, Model Y, and Model 3 while in motion.
"This will be the actual car that’s on the roads,” Musk said of the car, which Tesla showed accelerating 0 to 60 miles per hour in one second. "It literally is just going to puff itself up, and uh, and be able to do this, these maneuvers whenever you’d like.”
end
This will, of course, end in fiery death and mayhem if people can try to fly over traffic jams. They will be all taking to the skies and hitting each-other in the process. Flying cars are a terrible idea, if a fun one.
And it probably would require a pilot's license of some sort. Hovercraft, which barely hover above the ground more than a foot or two, require one. So too do autogyros now; they used to be exempt because they flew too low and slow but now there is a special license for them as well. I doubt you are going to be able to fly your car with out a special license.
So I suspect the government will require a special license.
It's still really cool though!

FBI Agents Fired for Spying on Republicans Sue
Timothy Birdnow
These scumbags are suing to get their jobs back! The Jews invented the word Chutzpah just for them.
They are using the Nazi defense; we were just following orders. Their legal argument is they were assigned the case rather than volunteered for it. But it was an illegal thing from the get-go and they should have refused to do it, and if they did it they should have done so under protest. They didn't seem very resistant to the idea at the time.
As this case is before the D.C. Circuit Court it will probably succeed and the Administration will have to appeal it repeatedly.
The suit complains that Kash Patel was caught partying with the U.S. Olympic Hockey team in a completely unrelated matter that should lead the court to dismiss the case as irrelegant as they are bringing irrelevant material into the filing, but it probably won't. They added that, I am sure, simply to taint the Director of the FBI, nothing more. (News flash! It is not illegal nor immoral to have some drinks with a few hockey players.)
This suit ought to be thrown out; the Director of the FBI has broad discretion when it comes to his employees, who serve at his pleasure. But they are arguing they fall under the protections of civil servants; that they are bureaucrats.
Reinstating people like this is simply unforgiveable.

Is Babylon About to Fall?
Timothy Birdnow
I pretty much agree with this. It may be a bit overblown but I think the article puts the danger of AI in perspective. Interestingly enough I agree with Bill Gates, although I wouldn't want HIM to be the person in control of restraining the technology.
We call it AI - artificial intelligence - but it is far from sentient, just a machine with capabilities of learning on it's own. What it is is a superior tool, and where there are tools there are bad people misusing them. A club was a great tool for hunting animals and providing food, but some schmuck decided it was a great weapon and stove in his neighbor's skull. Fire was Man's most useful tool but it was turned into terrible weapons of war. Now we have AI and it can be weaponized too.
It can also be used for criminality. And for the worst sort of criminality - politics.
I fear it's abuse in politics. A politician could run an interactive version of himself, answering questions and speaking personally to voters. Imagine it! The politician's image calling a voter by name, asking about his family members and talking about his interests (gleaned from a web search) and then asking for his support. It would be immensely powerful. The politician who could do THAT could own the world if he kept others out of the game.
It would have immense brainwashing capabilities.
It could even reproduce the voice of a loved one who passed away. How powerful would that be?
(The T.V. show Evil had an episode about that; a company that reproduced a loved one's voice to help the grieving widow/widower but the AI system doing it was evil and began encouraging people to kill themselves or do other bad things.)
This IS dangerous technology but I see no way of stopping it. It's like the industrial revolution; the Luddites tried to stop it because it was costing them jobs but there was just no way to stop it. The AI revolution is no different. We have to learn to live with it, to guide it in a proper direction, to put in safeguards. We need Asimov's
Three Laws of Robotics for AI.(There were actually four in the end.) They read:
1.A robot may not injure a human being, or,
through inaction, allow a human being to come
to harm.
2.A robot must obey the orders given it by human
beings except where such orders would conflict
with the First Law.
3.A robot must protect its own existence so long
as such protection does not conflict with the
First or Second Laws.
0. The Zeroth Law of Robotics: A robot may not injure humanity, or, through inaction, allow humanity to come to harm.
These laws were not just software patches; they were built into the robot brains so that if a robot disobeyed them, even if accidentally, they would short out. There was a kill switch on a robot to stop it, because society realized robots had the potential to be very dangerous machines. In fact, it almost caused a war when the people of the planet Aurora learned the people of Solaria had been tampering with the three laws in their robots; all the societies that used robots feared them to a greater or lesser degree.
We should fear AI for similar reasons and should find ways to restrict them. Man must remain the master of his own technology and not it's servant.
Another television program about AI was Person of Interest. In it a reclusive billionaire named Harold Finch invents an AI and gives it to the government to stop terrorist attacks. It collects data from public cameras and predicts terrorism. It also predicts premeditated crimes and the government throws the list of those crimes away - so Finch hires an ex-CIA agent to hep him save those people. In the end the government has an ex-MI6 Agent to build a new machine and the first AI has to go, so a war breaks out between the machines using human agents. The original AI (known simply as The Machine) has safeguards built into it by Finch, the other (known as Samaritan) does not; it intends to build a "paradise" by manipulating and controlling human beings. The war ends with half of the main characters dead and the world in tatters. It was a good show.
There have, of course, been plenty of other fictional warnings about AI systems, starting with Frankenstein and proceeding through years. Even Frankenstein was not the first; there was the legend of the Golem, a monster created by a Kabaalist rabbi. There were others.
So it's not like we haven't had sufficient warning.
In the end playing God is dangerous and since we do not have the wisdom of God nor His complete knowledge we will make mistakes and with something as powerful as AI those mistakes could be very costly indeed. But this is a runaway train and getting off would be even more dangerous than staying on board and trying to control the locomotive.
Anyway, Bill Gates thinks AI is going to offer us a nasty surprise and he may be right. But he is most definitely not the guy we want in the Engine room.
One final thought; in the Book of Revelations about midway through there is the fall of Babylon, and it is mentioned how ship captains sit off-shore and watch the city burning and mourn because they got rich of it and now it was all gone. This suggests a great source of wealth will be lost and it occurs to me that if there WERE to be an AI attack on our financial system it could crash it and a great source of wealth could be lost. Wouldn't everyone who traded and made vast sums of money off the current banking and trading system stand from afar and mourn? This, by the way, is what leads to the rise of the Antichrist in the book. Might we be on the cusp of witnessing the fall of Babylon now? If Gates is right we just might be.

Shadow Figures of the Revolution
This from Vincent Thomas Ignatius
The Domestic enemies of America are many. They have been here for decades, going back to at least the 1920s when KGB handlers helped organize underground communist cells in America.
The goal was to infiltrate our institutions, such as education and the Media and, through continual subtle propaganda, try to convince as many Americans as possible to adopt Marxist and Socialist ideas.
Obviously, these ideas were packaged under different labels. Labels that at first sounded benign but grew 'progressively' worse as we became desensitized to them.
Tolerance
Acceptance
Civil Rights
Political Correctness
Colonialism
Multi culturalism
Economic Inequality
Critical Theory
Minority Rights
White Privilege
Toxic Masculinity
Islamophobia
Our domestic enemies had to work under the radar, or underground. They had to because at one time, the vast majority of Americans would absolutely reject these ideas if they truly understood who and what was behind them.
These shadow figures of the Revolution, freverently dedicated to their diabolical cause, continued to move FORWARD to produce HOPE AND CHANGE and called it PROGRESS.
Our Founding documents, written by the most brilliant political and philosophical minds in American and perhaps, world history, gave We The People the tools to keep tyranny in check. Among these tools was the belief that only a people of Judeo Christian faith could maintain the type of Free Constitutional Republic our Founders gave us.
It is, as they said, wholly inadequate to the government of any other.
Our domestic enemies knew and know this. Following the ideas of Antonio Gramsci, they targeted two main institutions....
The Church, and the nuclear family.
Everything or almost everything these children of the devil believe in and follow fall under targeting these two critical institutions.
Abortion
Divorce
Same sex marriage
Transgender ideology
Wide acceptance of Homosexuality (read, After The Ball)
The attacks on Christian flideas and faith
Embrace of depravity and immorality.
Erosion of Education.
This decades long onslaught served and serves to bypass the Constitutional firewall our Founders set up to protect us from tyranny.
Jefferson wrote thay when government abandons its limited role as protector of our unalienable rights, it is the duty of the People to cast off such government.
What the Founders didn't understand or realize is that tyranny does not only originate with government.
It also emerges, and more often does, from among the people. After all, what is government but citizens elected by their fellow citizens to serve and protect?
The same type of people who once worked in the shadows to fundamentally transform America into a Socialist and eventually, a communist State, are now openly in office, running for office and boldly proclaiming their disdain for America.
They do this because a critical number of people in America have a tyrant living in their hearts. From among us, tyranny has arrived.
Through the process of Subversion and open borders, we now have a population of mini tyrants with no love of America and no faith in the God of the Bible.
Slowly, their fellow mini tyrants are being elected to office and given prominent positions of influence.
This is not a case of a free people who were somehow fooled into electing our enemies to office. This is a case of a people who hate the US and the Cross, who knowingly vote for Socialism, Islamism, atheism and anything anti American.
What constitutional remedy is there for a population that grows tyrannical? After all, government is but a mirror of its people. It reflects what the zeitgeist of that nation is.
I don't have a solution. Well actually I do. It is a simple but extremely difficult solution.
It is the solution those who once lived under the beast of Communism offered....
Yuri Bezmenov
Alexander Solzhenitsyn
Igor Shafravich
Even those of us who say we are patriotic people of faith. Are we?
As we hold subscriptions it all manner of depravity, from HBO to Netflix. We pay them to pump sewage into our homes and minds of our children.
As we can't be bothered to go to Church. Hey, it's football season!
Tyranny succeeds not only through direct action, but through apathy, laziness, and tolerance.

Star Wars; Return of the Dead Eye
Timothy Birdnow
In response to Zelensky's refusal to lay off of diesel refineries and his "up yours" to the President, America's Department of War has
cut off access to Star Shield, a military version of Starlink.
Ukraine was using Starshield to run it's attack drones. No Starshield and command and control becomes, uh, tricky.
Take THAT you arrogant snot Volodomor!
There is
more at Hot Air about this. It hurts not just drone attacks but interceptors too. It was a major blow to Ukraine's ability to fight the war.
But Zelensky had it coming; he was asked nicely, then warned. America is not obligated to help, and especially not if our help is unappreciated. There are strings to our technology; if you want our aid you have to give a little in return. All Trump asked was not to target diesel refineries and Zelensky refused to do even that.
What he is doing is burnishing his street cred with the Europeans in the hopes they will come into the war on his side. He knows Trump will never do that but he thinks he can get Europe to send in troops - something he desperately needs - as well as supply weapons. He figures he has wrung about all he can out of America as long as Trump is there and so he hopes to get a new Congress that will give him more and at the same time show how tough he is, how he "stood up to Trump just like he stood up to Putin". It's a fine strategy except Mr. Trump holds all the cards.
If Zelensky wants our help he needs to be polite to us. You don't demand and you don't tell us to butt out. If you don't want us involved then we will not be involved - at all. No more money, no more weapons, no more Starlink, nothing. You can fight on your own.

Got to give cover for Zelensky. The attacks on Kyiv never stopped. Day one Putin could have blamed a rogue general, but days two and three? Doesnt our European NATO allies have links to Star Shield. How long will it take Ukraine to find a work around using their links, hours, days?Im sure Trumps deal with Putin was an olive branch designed to try and keep the war in Ukraine from spreading. Germany has put more troops on its borders. Too bad its not to try and keep the enemies from outside with designs on reinforcing those on its inside from destroying it,namely islamics.

Good points Mike. I get why the Ukrainians want to take the war to the very tender point as they are doing, but they need to listen to us over this. Yes, Trump is trying to ease tensions, no question.
I do not know exactly how the technology works so I cannot comment on the matter of a workaround. I would think there would be ways to prevent that but you may well be right. I have no doubt service will be restored; Trump just needed to make a point, that we control their weapons systems and can pull the plug if we wish.
This made me think back to my childhood. My father did not spare the rod, but I've been patted on the back harder than his spankings of us. He had no intention of beating us - just performing a ritual to make sure we understood he had the power to do worse. It was a form of discipline that was purely symbolic. (my dad was a very gentle man in fact and hated even this but he understood we were brats and required it). Trump had to show that, yes, he could pull the plug and he could do worse if he chose.
Anyway good points Mike. I may not fully agree but you present them well and have a solid argument.

Gin-Soaked Judge Forcing Trump Admin. to take in Visa Lottery Winners
Timothy Birdnow
Gee, whoda seen this coming?
If judges want to make laws they should run for Congress. If they want to implement them they should run for President. But what they have no business doing is either when it is their job to pass judgement on the legality of things. That is exactly what they have NOT been doing in all of these injunctions.
The ruling was by U.S. District Judge Jinsook Ohta of the Southern District of California, a judge who undoubtedly has a vested interest in immigration. (I rather doubt a guy or gal named Gin-soaked, er, Jinsook, has a long family history in America) and it orders the diversity lottery be restored. The administration halted it when it was learned the Brown University shooter got into the country via this program.
Immigration is the province of the Executive branch of government and the courts have very limited authority on the matter. This judge is WAY out of line.
The judge (a woman, apparently) even admitted it:
"There is no statutory requirement that every available diversity visa be issued each year,”
So it is none of her business, it seems. If the Administration deems it unwise at this time no tinhorn judge has a right to second guess them.
The Red Eagle law firm was the spearhead for this and I wonder if they had legal standing. Who hired them and paid their bills? The article does not say but I suspect it wasn't a plaintiff who was trying to hire one of these folks; if it was an alien they had no standing nor does some immigrant advocacy group.
Again, this is a district judge issuing an injunction that impacts the whole country and not just her district. Trump should reduce the numbers down to just a few candidates and send them all to her district and nowhere else. She has no authority to foist all of these people on the nation as a whole.
My question is, why is a 1991 law still in place? Why hasn't Congress repealed it? They are busy reforming college sports and other useless stuff and let things like this remain.
The Left really knew what it was doing when they packed the courts with their own partisan hacks.

The fact that they're worried doesn't mean that they're going to do anything about it. Ask them which ones those candidates are. They don't know.

The Ghost and Talarico
Timothy Birdnow
Gather round the campfire boys and girls; I'm going to tell a scary ghost story! It's about a Senate candidate who disappeared suddenly without a trace.
James Talarico is
fading while Paxton is rising and the God is nonbinary candidate seems to be hurting from his disappearing act as the public knows they aren't being told the truth.
You can lie to the public but you can't lie after ignoring them. Talimebananarico disappeared for weeks without telling the public he was out or why then comes back with a lame story about having the flu. He could have at least issued a public statement but nothing. If he was too sick to campaign the public would have understood, but not his just ghosting the good people of Texas. That is disrespectful and dishonest. If he's pulling this kind of thing now what will he do when he's in office? Right now he's asking the public to elect him.
I always thought Paxton would surge anyway. As the people of Texas learned just what a complete radical this guy is they would decide he was not for the Lone Star State. Texas takes their God and their guns seriously. Talabanrico does neither.
The article states:
The polls, for the first time in months, have Ken Paxton in the lead. The Quantus Insights poll is widely considered to be the most accurate, for what that’s worth. (It was the only poll to get 2024 right.) Quantus has Paxton at 47.2 to Talarico’s 46.7. A half a point does not seem earth-shattering, but you also have to throw in the GOP correction that nobody likes to talk about, which in previous elections has ranged from 3 to 5% (Current research now states that it has reached 6.2%.) YouTube poll Election Time gives an impressive total of Paxton at 55.1% against 44.9% for the Boy Wonder. Realistic? Maybe not. But the real importance of polls is to show you where the wind is blowing, and right now, it’s gale force against Little Jimmy.
end
And Paxton keeps talking about this. Talarico ghosted the public and showed disdain for the voters. If he can't be bothered to keep them informed why would he bother to listen to them after he's in office?
Elected officials are PUBLIC servants; it is their job to keep the public informed.
Even if 'RICO brings the receipts he can't change the fact that his campaign could have brought the receipts when he was out. Everyone would have understood. He didn't have to personally do it. But his campaign dropped the ball, and probably because they feared the real story getting out worse than what is happening now.
So, unless the RINO wing of the GOP steps in to cost Paxton, we will probably retain this seat. Hopefully a lot of others.
As an aside I would like to point out that there is vast sums of money being pumped into Missouri right now in opposition to an abortion ban and transgendering ban on our ballot; every commercial break on television has at least one commercial against it and often two. They are also running lots of commercials about redistricting, trying to get the public to save Emmanuel Cleaver from the cleaver. The only reason Cleaver has had a seat is because of the rule where minorities had to be given their own, special districts, the rule the Supreme Court recently overruled. SCOTUS refused to hear Missouri's appeal (despite the fact our state constitution forbids a referendum over redistricting) until after we had a vote on it. My question is, where is the money coming from? There are no commercials competing with these. And if we are being inundated is the rest of the country? Someone is spending a LOT of money, and in times past I would say they were tapping into taxpayer dollars. They still might be.

Zelensky Gives a Big ef U to Trump and America
Timothy Birdnow
An arrogant and ungrateful Volodomor Zelensky has just
flipped President Trump the bird in no uncertain terms, bombing Russian refineries and according to the article:
Zelenskyy was quoted as saying that "the block” on attacking refineries "is out.” He added, "We’re done.”
If Zelensky is done with the moratorium on bombing Russian diesel refineries then America will be done with giving him what he needs to continue fighting. This ungrateful little snot thinks he doesn't need our help, apparently.
Zelensky is hoping that his lack of cooperation will flip Congress next month and thus lead to a friendlier policy by the U.S.
Notice he's gotten quite cocky after Congress passed an aid bill to Ukraine. He now thinks he can't be denied that money.
No doubt he can't as that is the way our government works; the Executive Branch cannot withhold money earmarked by Congress. But he can slow it down and possibly put some strings on it. And with a little luck he could get Congress to rescind it.
The Congressional Budget and Impoundment Control Act of 1974 states the President must notify Congress if he intends to implement Impoundment - a practice where the President does NOT use authorized funds which goes back to Thomas Jefferson - and it must be approved by Congress. The President can either defer spending or do a recission (a perment cut) but he has to get tacit Congressional approval for a recission. In the current climate it seems unlikely Congress will allow President Trump to do it. But he can order a deferment. He should.
But then there is also the Line Item Veto Act of 1996, which authorizes the President to cut spending under certain circumstances and when it does not do harm to national interests or add to the federal budget deficit and it must have tax benefits. Under this provision it is possible the President could cut spending on Ukraine, but he'd have a big fight on his hands with Congress nonetheless. They can still override him in this instance.
Only one problem; SCOTUS declared this law unconstitutional. So Trump can't use that.
Zelensky knows all this and that's why he's getting cocky now; he has the
the $175 billion and he won't need to come back to the well for a while.
If Ukraine were defunded the war would quickly be over. But Zelensky sleeps well at night knowing the Western World will never tire of propping up his corrupt and despotic junta.
President Trump needs to find a tender spot to squeeze the Ukrainian government. He probably will; it's what he is best at. His speciality is finding leverage to force a deal.

Trump Wusses Out on Nidal Hasan Execution
Timothy Birdnow
Trump wussies out!
Executing a guy decades after the fact and then making it private sends no message to anyone and in fact there is little reason to do it if the public doesn't see it happen. It loses any deterrence it may have had. There is a reason why executions used to be public until the mid-20th century. Many of the atrocities we see today did not happen much in the old days because everyone knew the ropes (literally). Now it's a case of a sanitary, quick, largely painless death and so especially young people will risk it.
Yes, there is the risk of making a martyr out of someone, but that's why you need to take steps to counter that. Burying a Muslim's body with pig skin or embalming tthem with bacon grease would be a good start; many Muslims believe this will prevent the jihadist from going to Heaven.
Me, I'm all for tossing the body into a pig pen and letting nature take her course, but of course filming it while we're at it. I doubt many would-be terrorists would be willing to seek their seventy two virgins and a mule if they figured they'd be eaten by hogs and wind up with seventy two ugly old homosexual men instead.
Trump shouldn't have chickened out on this. It is important the public see these kinds of executions. We have become entirely too squimish and soft to face certain realities. What the man did was horrible and we need to know that justice was served. Nobody was forcing anyone to watch it, I might add. But it should be available to be seen by the public.
This isn't going to gain Trump or the Republicans any good will. The Democrats will still trash Trump just for his Administration suggesting it. Better to be damned for what you do than for what you refrained from doing but get blamed for anyway.
