How was the rain shower you had? Read 9 inches fell and St Louis was floating down the Mississippi. Was it a local event or did it cover a large area? Cant believe what they print since it is so slanted.

St. Louis is fine, by and large. We got some heavy downpours and some low-lying areas flooded (not all that unusual, although it happens more in the spring) but it wasn't that bad. We just got all of our rain at once, rather than through the summer (it's been really dry.)
I canceled my plans to go to the Ozark Hilton to be on the safe side.
Parts of the state also got hit hard, but not the whole state by any means. It was really more of a local flood than anything.
Had some hail too.
