Hypocrisy in iB flat

Timothy Birdnow

This guy is irony impaired:

"As I speak with a lot of my colleagues who have been in Congress for a long time, this is completely abnormal. We should all be concerned about the fact that Elon Musk and his small team of, uh, DOGE, uh, you know, coders have absolutely zero oversight. There’s no one looking over the work they’re doing to make sure that, of course, there’s no conflict of interest, but that it’s also being done in the right way.”

Representative Maxwell Frost D-Florida

NOW Frost wants to actually do oversight. Where were he and his friends when the disparate government agencies were running hog wild with taxpayer dollars? He only cares about reining in those recommending budget cuts.

1 Dude, it's about leadership. When it's us doing it we know it's being done right because we have good leadership. When it's them doing it we have to worry and keep an eye on what they're doing because they are led by idiots and clowns.

2  Nothing is stopping them from hiring an independent auditor to audit Musk, except they want the taxpayers to pay for it. Trump is doing what any sensible person  would do when you take over a company.  Audit the books. Musk and his team are the auditors.

3 True Bill but it's about them NOT doing it at all. The only things they have ever defunded is border security, and national security when it's suited them (they defunded the Contras and during Nixon's era the Vietnam War).

Exactly Mike! This is business 101.

I heard Chuck Schumer saying "targeted cuts are fine but they're taking a  meat-cleaver to these agencies" as if that is a bad thing at this time. Where was he and his buddies when they were doling the money out? THEY could have promoted an audit long ago.

We need a "chainsaw" as another Dem called it. Sometimes a dead tree just has to be removed.

4 Bill, I'd say that it's true that some of them are idiots, but most of them are crooks that you and I (and Mike and Tim) wouldn't trust with a burnt-out match. If we do the work, we can trust the answers and if necessary, shove 'em down their throats.

And Mike, the thing that's stopping them from doing the audits is that they don't want the audits done, because that would show all the crookedness they've been getting away with. But you knew that already.
