Hudson Bay is a known "hot spotâ€. When the warmth below Hudson Bay declined (GeoReactor cycled down) , the Laurentide ice sheet formed, extending down into the present day U.S.
Northern Ontario and Quebec also possess large deposits of Iron. The mechanisms described by researchers from the University of Alberta state that: "our results show that the fluids that form iron oxide-apatite deposits are sourced by a very particular process: melting of limestones and/or salt deposits by injection of magma,â€
