Looks like the Walrus is going to cop a plea!
FTA:
Bolton is expected to plead guilty to one count of retaining sensitive government information, according to The Washington Post.
The deal would vastly reduce any prison time Bolton would serve if found guilty at trial.
Bolton was accused of sending "diary-like” recollections of highly secret work to various relatives who he said would help him with his memoirs.
Bolton has agreed to pay a $2.25 million fine.
The Walrus was highly critical of President Trump after he was sacked as National Security Advisor. Mr. Bolton is and remains a war hawk -ever eager for U.S. involvement in foreign wars, a philosophy at odds with hte President who has largely sought to stay out of war as much as possible.
I'm not sure what Bolton thinks about the President's approach to Iran but I'm sure he is not in favor of this negotiated settlement strategy.
At any rateHe faces a two million dollar fine and up to five years in the slammer. No doubt the negotiations are to keep him out of prison.
Bolton is accused of leaking classified information in his 2020 book.

Deportations Give Us Affordable Housing

Well duh! This is what happens when demand drops.
Aliens were snatching up all the available properties - that drives rent prices up.
According to the article the Sun Belt is seeing the big drops and the Northeast and West Coast are still seeing rents tick upward. That makes sense; these are the areas that have "rent control" and which offer the primary "sanctuary city" policies, protecting the aliens who are trying to remain.
Those will come down in time.
Other things will come down, like electricity costs or food prices.
Fewer people means less demand and that forces landlords to cut prices.
Now, this will hurt the landlords who bought at the top of the market, but most of those are going to be corporations anyway. And if you bought at the top of the market you have nobody to blame but yourself; you rolled the dice, thinking the market would just keep going up. The housing crash of '08 should have taught everyone there is a danger in buying when the market is red hot.
But again I suspect it won't hurt too many small land holders so much as the big corporate entities, many of whom will probably sell out to the smaller guys, thus returning control of property to the community. Do we really need foreign corporations owning a lot of our housing? I think not.
And it will help the People.
Remember when the Democrats were pushing easy mortgages and rents in the name of "affordable housing"? I remember Barney Frank spitting all over audiences with his endless talk of "affordable housing". But it turns out they meant affordable housing for the illegal alien.
The more we deport the better it will get. Gee; why didn't anyone think to do this before now?

VDH on the Iran Memorandum

The incomparable Victor Davis Hansen explains to us what is happening with Iran and why Trump is doing what he is doing. I agree, even if I think Trump is wasting precious time.
VDH has argued in other articles and podcasts that the U.S. has already done immesurable damage to Iran and can do absolutely amazing damage in future should President Trump choose - and he'll choose if Iran reneges on the deal.
He's right, of course.
What VDH is attempting to convey is the polemic by Richard Nixon "don't play your hole card because then you don't have it". Nixon rightly understood that the hole card is held and not to be played except when there are no other options - it's the ace up your sleeve. If Trump bombs Iran now and Iran does not fold then Trump cannot bomb them anymore and the public will tire of it. He bombed them enough to soften them up but is keeping a major aerial campaign as his hole card, to be used if and only if Iran breaks the deal.
And as Saul Alinsky said "sometimes the fear of a thing is worse than the thing itself". By NOT bombing Iran into the stone age the rulers there are forever on pins-and-needles in fear of the next shoe dropping. It is a powerful psychological tool.
Hansen thinks Trump knows what he is doing and I have great faith in Hansen.
Which is at odds with the National Review, which turned Trump-hater and which I made the rather stupid mistake of visiting online the other day. It was an endless screed of Trump bashing and doom-and-gloomerism. They WANT Trump to fail and if it hurts the U.S. that is a price they are willing to pay. NRO jas gpne the way of the carrier pigeon or other such antiquated things (Zeppelins, telegraphs); it sold itself to the Establishment in the GOP decades ago and now has nothing original or useful to say. It just keeps complaining about Trump. And while William F. Buckley probably wouldn't have liked Trump (Buckley was a snob of sorts) he did support Rush Limbaugh when he was coming up - and Rush was a big Trump supporter because Rush came from Middle America and knew that Trump supported Middle America's values and aspirations. Rush was himself "crass" and "uncouth" but Buckley took him under his wing anyway. I wonder if he would have embraced Trump after initial opposition? I did because Trump is, despite being a bit of a jackass, the only guy who actually is capable of advancing our agenda and is faithful to us by and large. No politician is truly faithful but Trump at least tries to be. Can't ask for much more than that. There are the few who ARE faithful but who can't move the ball, and the unfaithful who can, but Trump has both qualities at once. Like him or not he stands on our side.
NRO can't understand that. Neither can the American Spectator these days, which is why they too are no longer the force they once were. Back in the nineties they made their name resisting Bill Clinton. Now they pine for the days of Clinton and flip the bird to the one man who is fighting to stop the even worse leftists.
And he's doing it at his own peril and at his own expense.
It really is sad to watch petty egos and small mindedness divide the Conservative movement and allow the Left to triumph, but so many are willing to do so.
At any rate I was reading National Review and one commentor on an article about how Trump lost the war with Iran said "when VDH says the war is lost then I'll believe the war is lost". He was soooo right. Mr. Hansen says things are going according to plan and we can bring the wrath of the Most High down on them at any time we choose. I'll believe him over NRO or TAS or any of the others who want to return to the way it used to be where they can write their white papers and bemoan the decline of America into the sewer.

Fatuous O'Donnell Taking Over for Kimmel?

The angry oversized lesbian is auditioning to take Kimmel's job and Kimmel is said to have hand-picked her, bringing her out of her retirement in Ireland to shriek at average Amerricans about how much she hates Donald J. Trump.
Well, at least she's a Trump hater going way back. Her feud with Trump began before he even got into politics.
When I first got a computer back around the turn of the century I downloaded a game "Rosie v. Donald" in which Rosie's forked tongue came out to lash Trump and he responded by flipping his orange hair at her. Silly fun then. But who would have thought people would take her seriously and she would wind up being brought in as a guest host for the departing Kimmel, who is leaving because of terrible ratings? And why does the network believe O'Donnell will fare any better with her unique brand of rage and Trump hatred? How is she any sort of change?
Real change would be replacing Kimmel with a conservative comedian. But that won't happen, no matter how much someone would love Dennis Miller or Joe Rogan.
This is proof that the networks are all about "how can we fool 'em today" rather than about reflecting America. Not one single network would consider appealing to what is obviously a major part of the market. Instead the appeal to the fringe and can't understand why the public doesn't support their choice.
Well, they believe they can MAKE the public support their choices by sheer repetition and cornering the market. It used to work, too, when there was no other options. But now we have a multiplicity of choices; why put up with being insulted when you can go elsewhere?
Brining Rosie back is like bringing back O.J. Simpson as a movie star. Nobody has any use for it.

Fast and Furious Fentanyl

Just more proof the Biden Administration was completely out of control and cared little about ruining lives.

AU.S. Drug Enforcement Administration agent has evidence that his agency and federal prosecutors let more than 1 million fentanyl pills flow onto the streets of New Mexico during the Biden era and then tried to silence him from testifying after he blew the whistle, the agent's lawyer tells Just the News.
"DEA has a campaign that says one pill can kill, and so the DEA allowing this to happen was really significant. It was driven also by the US Attorney's Office in New Mexico," Attorney Tristan Leavitt, president of the Empower Oversight, whistleblower center, said in an interview Monday night.
Leavitt's group represents DEA Special Agent David Howell, a 14-year veteran of the agency whose whistleblower complaint was chronicled by The Associated Press in a bombshell article Monday.
Leavitt compared his client's allegations to the Obama-era Fast and Furious scandal in which the federal government allowed semiautomatic weapons to flow across the border to the drug cartels, putting American lives in danger.
"After Fast and Furious, the Justice Department headquarters adopted a protocol that said if you have a wiretap and you know that firearms are going to be trafficked, you have to try and stop them," he said in an interview on the Just the News, No Noise television show. "Well, in 2019 they adopted a similar protocol for fentanyl.
"So the Justice Department's guidance was really ignored in Albuquerque, because the U.S. attorney decided to cowboy and do his own thing in hopes of making a bigger case," he added.
Howell first filed a whistleblower complaint in late 2023 with the U.S. Office of Special Counsel disclosing that the DEA and U.S. Attorney's Office in New Mexico deliberately did not seize large shipments of fentanyl, including deliveries of 150,000 and 50,000 pills.
The Biden Administration was no doubt the worst in U.S. history. And with them the state and local authorities - usually run by Democrats - were in bed to screw the American People.

Thank God this jackass is going to be out of the Senate soon.
"I don’t know what’s worse to you, vandalizing a pool or assaulting a police officer?” he said, according to The Hill. "Now we got somebody, let’s say they took a pen knife to a damn pool liner, you’re going to prosecute them for 10 years?”
"And you’ve let people that admitted to assaulting a police officer go and think I can take that person seriously? Nuh-uh,"
Well, if Trump chooses to pardon the reflecting pool vandals so be it; it's his right and if it's o.k. for Joe Biden to pardon his son and Anthony Fauci then it's o.k. for Trump to pardon people who trespassed in the Capitol or even scuffled with the cops when they were pushing and shoving them.
But it is the duty of any law enforcement officer to, oh, I don't know....enforce the law. If Trump then pardons these people it's his prerogative.
But there is a huge difference here. The J6 thing was a protest over a legitimate grievance - the perceived theft of the entire government - and while it may have gotten out of hand we do know there were agent provocateurs from the friggin' government in the crowd trying to egg them on. We know this for a fact. And we also know most of the people charged were in no way violent. The majority of them were just present on the scene - and some of them weren't even present on the scene.
Tillis knows all this. The reflecting pool vandals went to the pool with malice aforethought to vandalize it solely because President Trump had fixed a longstanding problem, cleaning up what had essentially become a filthy stagnant puddle. They went there purposely to destroy the work which was done on behalf of all Americans to beautiful the city - no partisan reason at all.
What would Tillis say to the vandals who were attacking priceless paintings in not so long ago days? Would he be equally blaise' about it if vandals broke into the Louvre and spray painted a penis on the Mona Lisa (assuming coy little Mona is at the Louvre')?
Granted the reflecting pool is no work of great art but the action is more or less the same. It is as similar to a politically-charged riot as you can find.
And I notice Tillis wasn't much concerned about Black Lives Matter riots, or when Antifa rioted, or when labor union thugs rioted and seized the Wisconsin state capitol a few years before J6; he shrugged that off then. But he saw it as an insurrection, a "threat to democracy" when the MAGA crowd lost their cool.
Why? Because the J6 crowd represented the very heart and core of the country, not the lunatic fringe, and it showed guys like Tillis that the base of the Party had grown wise to them. They needed to severely punish the people at the Capitol that day because if they did not the public might get too uppity.
Ferguson Mo. burning didn't bother Tillis but a few people invading the Capitol did. And defacing the public property in the Mall in D.C. doesn't bother him either. But God help you if you inconvenience HIM!
Tillis isn't running for re-election and we are so well served to be shed of such a huge feminine hygiene product and the bag he came in.

How can Americans of any stripe be consuming ANY mainstream media news at this point, after these "news" sources have repeatedly lied to us?
Mainstream news is to information what Pork Rinds are to nutrition.
Yet Americans are STILL dutifully consuming it as if it were accurate and fair. What is wrong with the people in this country? How many times do we have to be lied to before we say "no mas" and move to more reliable news sources?
Until we get the public to turn away from the liars at the networks we will never be able to restore the American republic.

Fauci Facing the Gavel

Dr. Anthony "Strangelove" Fauci is now known to have funded the Wuhan lab's experiments with SARS Covid 2 which gave us the Covid 19 pandemic. We also know he perjured himself before Congress and he was at the forefront of silencing anyone critical of the clot shot. Fauci is to virology what Dr. Strangelove was to nuclear weapons in the terrific dark comedy by Peter Sellers. Or for the younger crowd he's Dr. Evil from Austin Powers sans his cat Mr. Bigglesworth.
But the Fauc received a full and complete pardon from President Autopen and that is that, right?
Wayne Alen Root observes the obvious - that Fauci can stil be charged at the state level. Why hasn't a red state filed charges against him? Katherine Hanaway, where are you? (Hanaway is Missouri's current Attorney General.)
Every single Republican-controlled state should file agains this man.
But wait! There's more!
How many countries outside of the United States were hurt by this? Why don't they all indict Fauci? Surely places like Hungary or Argentina or Paraguay or any number of Third World countries could file indictments against the man who cost their economies and their citizens so very much. Why won't they file?
Mostly because the World Health Organization is still carrying Fauci's water, methinks, and these nations figure it is a lost cause. But is it?
Would Trump hand over the Fauc?
But even if that doesn't happen these countries can still make it difficult for Fauci to travel abroad out of fear of being arrested. He would have to stay in America and face whatever music MAGA states are playing.
I don't know why we aren't seeing indictments already, but I think now that Tulsi Gabbard has released the documents we are going to see Mr. Fauci finally face judgment. At least one must hope so. He's killed more people than any mass murderer put away or executed.
Timothy McVeigh was executed for killing 168 people in the Oklahoma City bombing. How many more has Fauci killed?
I know; he didn't do it on purpose, but he's still a mass killer, a killer who killed not out of malice or for profit or out of anger but out of cold-blooded scientific hubris. He reminds me of Viktor Frankenstein from Mary Shelley's novel.
That is, I am sure, worth a few decades in the state pen, or in a Turkish prison.

I would add Hell is not a place noted for it's "beauty and joy" as is San Francisco and those who vacation there will find the accomodations less than satisfactory - and the stay far too long. Love demands that those who are courting a one way trip to the warmest of vacation spots be at least warned about the possibility of getting their ticket punched for Club Dead.
That is love, and that is beauty. Christians refusing to allow the rainbow - God's sign to us He would never drown the world again - to be hijacked and used to promote something that will murder the soul. The salvation of souls from ANY sin is the real beauty, be it sexual immorality or wrath or greed or any other deadly sin. God wants us all with Him. If it takes offending a few people who want it all their own way so be it. There is and never was anything beautiful about sin in any form.

Hard Luck Ilhan: Brother Can You Spare a Dime?

Ilhan Omar was rich before she was poor!
Having valued their capital investment and wine empire at $30 million a couple of years ago they are now saying Mr. Omar Tim "blind man" Mynett made a whopping $200 dollars last year from the winery and nothing from his investment job.
If this were 1930 Mr. Omar would have leapt off the top of his skyscraper by now. In fact he should be out panhandling and squeegeeing cars.
I suppose having his wife living off the fat of the land in Washington helps. Best relief program for the unemployables there is.
Rose Lake Capital, Mr. Omar's investment firm, was valued by him at between $1 and $1000 in 2023 but it's valuation jumped to between five million and twenty five million in just one year. But they are broke, according to Omar.
How can this be? This is the ultimate hard-luck story and one is tempted to suspect a lack of, uh, transparency. And honesty.
This woman has been milking America since she got here and will continue until we revoke her citizenship and ship her back to Somalia. Then her husband can see what REAL poverty looks like - and Ilhan will learn that America was not the horrible place she claimed it to be for fun and profit.

MLB Nebuchadnezzar Surrenders

We stood eyeball to eyeball with Major League Baseball and the other guy blinked.
MLB tried to bully these Christians into promoting something that is forbidden by their (our) religion but the backlash forced them to back down.
So often when Leftists attack if we would stand our ground we would win. Unfortunately people fear for their livelihoods and worry about being canceled and so just knuckle under - just as the Left planned. God bless (literally) these three valiant heroes.
They are rather like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, the three Jews who were tossed into the belly of the furnace for refusing to worship Nebuchadnezzar and his gods. Only instead of a fiery furnace they were thrown into a media maelstrom and angry gay activists. Not as horrific perhaps but the situation was analogous.

a dark and silent and empty room
waiting in patience like a long unused tomb
until the day cometh and so did the groom
And God said let there be Life
And there was life
and it grew deep inside her, the glowing young wife
And there in the darkness the fetus did grow
But what can a fetus see, what can it know?
it cannot conceive of where it will go
the young brain did not believe there could be something
more
it could not conceive of that beautiful shore
claims of Mother were naive, foolishness well to ignore
it would all soon be over and there'd be nothing more
But the heart of the fetus held a glimmering hope
it just knew of the truth of that beautiful slope
and despite all the scoffers it held onto that trope
Mother was real
She lay outside of the world of the fetus
and labored all day on the work to complete us
one fine morning would come our dear mother to meet us
But the brain and his chums would just snicker and sneer
especially as the time of his birthing drew near
soon comes the end, it is perfectly clear
and the brain and his friends lay there trembling in fear
The heart pointed to all that the mother gave out
to the feeding and warmth but the brain still cast doubt
there can be nothing more than the womb, no without
Then God said "Let there be light!"
Fetus no more, he was now a baby boy
in a world full of sights, sounds, and amazingly joy!
the darkness dispelled, all his doubts now destroyed!
The boy grew and he learned and he pondered his life
and he grew to a man and he took him a wife
and with children under foot he was busy with strife
He took little care of thoughts of his long afterlife
Long forgotten was his time in his mothers dark womb
and his dread of his birth, and his feelings of doom
he forgot how he doubted there was something outside
he couldn't remember how his doubts had just died
and little by little his body grew frail
he now felt very weary, knew his body would fail
his decrepid old bones were the bars of his jail
but for him there would be no release, no nor bail
Yet his brain it still scoffed at the hope there was
more
it just never could cope with what fate had in store
even yet his old heart held to a faith long he'd bore
He just couldn't know more 'til he walked through that
door, that birthing canal he desperately tried to ignore
As in his dark womb he dwelt on his fear
especially now as the reaper drew near
God must be a fiction, his brain would mockingly sneer
there is nothing beyond, that is perfectly clear.
As he drew his last breath and the candle blew out
he thought one last time of what it all was about
In the war between carnal and spiritual things
as the body decays and the soul finds it's wings
he was finally forced to ask what it all means
and there lay before him a dark gloomy plain
was it his new reality, or had he just gone insane?
if he was dead how did he think while he was lacking his
brain?
but it wasn't his brain but his heart which did serve
he accepted the truth, though it took every nerve
he cried unto the Lord for his soul to preserve
And God said "Let there be light"!
He knew it was right, everything was in sight
everything special and new and amazingly bright

All that without carbon dioxide from emissions warming the planet!

Field observations of past sea-level variations are needed to validate models predicting future sealevel rise. Along tectonically active coasts, separating tectonic and non-tectonic sea-level componentsis challenging as both have similar amplitudes but necessary to decipher sea-level histories drivenby climate forcing. Here, we present a new framework to decipher Holocene sea-level changesusing marine terraces–geomorphic features formed by wave erosion of bedrock–mapped with highresolution LiDAR data and numerical modelling. Applied to 266 sites along 500 km of central Chileancoast, we found that Holocene terrace elevations linearly correlate with Late Pleistocene terraceelevations, evidencing steady-state tectonics over the past 125,000 years. This proof of steadystate uplift allows subtracting tectonic components from Holocene elevations using uplift ratesfrom Pleistocene terraces. We find that during the mid-Holocene, sea level reached 3.18 ± 0.15 mabove modern elevation, only 0.33 m below glacial isostatic model predictions with 2·1020 Pa·smantle viscosity. We validated this relationship by reproducing Holocene terrace elevations using alandscape evolution model and glacial isostatic sea-level curves. Our results suggest that accountingfor millennial-scale vertical land motion rates that average many seismic cycles may improve futurerelative sea-level change projections, highlighting the potential of rocky-shore geomorphology for sealevel research along tectonically active coastlines.
How can that be if the planet is warmer now than in all of history and yet the sea level is lower than back in the mid Holocene?
Well, the paper explains it so read the whole thing. The point is it had nothing to do with atmospheric carbon dioxide then and it has nothing to do with it now.
Meanwhile changes in clouds led to climate warming in Krakow:
"…the main factor driving the rise in temperature after 1988 was also a radical increase in sunshine. These results indicate the fundamental role of changes in cloud structure, and consequently sunshine, in shaping the observed rise in air temperature.”
"The regression analysis revealed that the variability of the three considered factors – SD, the intensity of the western circulation in winter (NAO), and radiative forcing (∆F) – completely explained (within the estimation errors) the observed increase in annual air temperature in Kraków.”
So at least in Poland the decline in cloud cover has caused warming. One suspects that decline is the cause of most if not all planetary warming we've seen since 1980.
I would add that climate change theory says there should be MORE couds as warming from CO2 should evaporate more water vapor, making clouds more common. They aren't. They have been declining for decades. And while it's hard to determine if there is more or less rainfall the data we have show no increase in rain, which is what one would expect from a carbon dioxide-drive warming. Fewer clouds, no increase in rainfall, and some modest warming. What does that tell us?
According to NOAA, which has always fudged data and has an ax to grind, precipitation increased worldwide by a whopping 0.003 percent between 1901 and 2023. That is clearly statistically insignificant and is likelly a result of changes in measuring techniques over the years and data smoothing. It was just a little more in the U.S. at 0.018 . Given this is being recorded by the same data stations that Anthony Watts one must question even this very modest increase in precipitation.
In fact research suggests the Earth's land areas are [linkhttps://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/science.adq6529]drying out rather than getting water logged as woulld be the case if the theory is correct.
It tells me that the idea that carbon dioxide is the primary driver of planetary warming is wrong.
Another study suggests that this is happening in Brazil as well.
The drop in planetary albedo, or reflectivity, is generally blamed on a loss of ice in the polar regions but in fact most of it is a result of the drop in cloud cover. Clouds reflect sunlight and we are seeing fewer of them in the last few years.
Check out the graph here. It shows the drop in planetary albed over the years. This shows the decline in planetary albedo since the year 2000 (and one wonders if it hasn't been ongoing since 1980 but the graph does not go back that far). Naturally the paper blames carbon dioxide for the decline but theere is no proof of that and really no good explanation of how increased planetary carbon dioxide could cause a drop in cloud cover. It should increase it by the basic tenants of the theory.
The paper states:
Earth’s albedo (or reflectivity) is the portion (percent) of incoming solar radiation that is reflected backto space. As shown in Fig. 1, in the period of precise satellite data (since early 2000), Earth’s albedo hasdecreased about 0.5%. We described this change as a BFD6,7 because it has staggering implications.Solar radiation reaching Earth is about 340 W/m2, averaged over Earth’s surface, so the 0.5% albedodecrease is a 1.7 W/m increase of absorbed solar energy, much larger than the estimated potential drift2(<0.085 W/m2 per decade) of the satellite data.A 1.7 W/m2 increase of absorbed solar energy is huge. If it were a climate forcing, it would beequivalent to a CO2 increase of 138 ppm,5 but most of this albedo change must be climate feedback. Ofthe two substantial long-term climate forcings – human-made greenhouse gases (GHGs) and aerosols –the effect of GHGs on Earth’s albedo is negligible, as GHG absorption in the solar spectrum is weak."Direct” aerosol forcing – i.e., change of the reflection and absorption of sunlight by aerosol change perse – is also small, at most ~0.1 W/m2. The only substantial climate forcing affecting Earth’s albedo is the"indirect” aerosol forcing that occurs via the effect of aerosols on cloud formation and cloud brightness.IPCC estimates this indirect aerosol forcing change in the past 25 years as only about +0.1 W/m2, whilewe – based on the geographical and temporal change of absorbed solar radiation – estimate a largeraerosol forcing, +0.5 W/m2, due to reduced aerosol emissions from ships and thus reduced cloud cover.The upshot is that most of the 1.7 W/m2 increase of energy absorbed by Earth must be due to climatefeedbacks. Using our estimate of aerosol forcing, ~1.2 W/m2 of increased absorption is climate feedback(Fig. 2), while, if IPCC’s estimate of the aerosol forcing were correct, feedbacks would be >1.5 W/m2.In either case, the huge increase of absorbed energy must be provided by some combination of the twoclimate feedbacks that significantly alter Earth’s albedo: (1) change of the surface albedo, which is duemainly to change of sea ice area, and (2) change of clouds. The sea ice change is readily identified insatellite data and the resulting regional change of Earth’s albedo is accurately measured, amounting to50.15 W/m2 in the period 2000-2024, averaged over Earth’s surface. Thus, the one remaining feedbackthat affects Earth’s albedo – the cloud feedback – is very large. Rounding off, if our estimate of theaerosol forcing is right, the cloud feedback is increasing the flux of energy into the Earth system by anamount that has increased ~1 W/m2 in the past 25 years. If IPCC’s estimate of the aerosol forcing wereright, the cloud feedback has increased the flux of energy into the system by ~1.5 W/m2. In either case,the cloud feedback is so large that it rules out a climate sensitivity so low as IPCC’s best estimate of 3°Cfor doubled CO2, as we show below. The simplest way to understand this is to use Charney’s approach:consider the equilibrium climate response to the large (4 W/m2) doubled CO2 climate forcing.
Yet the authors of this never once wonder if it is the drop in albedo that is driving climate change and not carbon dioxide.

Humans have definitely caused warming as a result of land use change. Cut down a forest and build a city and you warm the climate locally - and that is figured into the whoe planetary temperature as divined by NOAA and NASA and the Hadley Center in Britain.
Planetary albedo has been dropping since the 1070's when the climate change alarmism began.
One of the reasons for this may well be a reduction in atmospheric aerosols. In other words, we did it to ourselves because the environmentalists made us quit emitting particlates.
Whatever the cause it's clear that the drop in planetary albedo is real and is causing planetary warming. Coupe that with the other non- carbon dioxide reasons - like land use changes (as Dr. Roger Pielke Sr. long argued) and other, less understood things like the drop in the planetary magnetic field, and the role of carbon dioxide becomes increasingly thin. It is much like the old Medieval argument over how many angels can dance on the head of a pin. In the end Nature rules and the Gang Green who support the alarmism drool.

I am going to say this again and will until I am blue in the face SPENDING DOES NOT CAUSE INFLATION except in very specific cases and for a short time. Lowering interest rates will not cause inflationary pressure. I don't know how to make this point any plainer.
The concept that spending by consumers causes inflation is straight out of Keynes. It is Demand Side Economics, something disproved time and again by the implementation of Supply Side Economics under Reagan, under Clinton, under Bush, and under Trump.
Demand side economics argues that when consumers ask for more than the market has to supply we have inflation, and the key to controlling inflation is to control spending. But what does that mean? It means no economic growth because people aren't spending enough for the market to actually grow. It is exactly what we mean when we talk about "sustainability" - it is a balancing act whereby we keep demand down and supply just barely meeting that demand. It assumes people are not actual people but mere consumers and they will be satisfied with less if the gods ofc the copybook headings say so.It does not see human beings living their lives but rather an amorphous blob of f"consumers". Control of demand is seen as the key to a healthy economy; too much demand and the economy suffers from inflation.
I remember years ago Rush Limbaugh used to play a Cornpone Southern Democrat named Ernest Hollings complained about people buyng what they wanted "too much consumin' going on!" Hollings fretted over people living their lives.
That's because he and his compatriots were all Keynsians who thought that the market actually gets it wrong and must be managed.
Reality is on the side of the Supply-siders who argue that the market will adjust to demand if you let it and that inflation is in fact a monetary problem, not a consumption problem. Always at it's core there is the Federal Reserve tampering with the money supply. We've seen a rise in inflation recently for instance because the Fed instituted another round of "qualitative easing" meaning they are buying the U.S. debt with money they are printing. That extra money goes into circulation and debases the currency. In the old days this didn't happen because money had to be backed by gold, and later gold and silver.
In fact the big argument at the end of the 19th and early 20th century was about "free silver". The Populist Party made that a central plank of their platform. William Jennings Bryan, the cowardly lion (Bryan was the template L. Frank Baum used for the Cowardly Lion in his novel The Wizard of Oz and the Yellow Brick Road was the Gold Standard) made his fame with his "cross of gold" speech where he said Mankind should not be crucified on a cross of gold". Why was Bryan so jacked up about the gold standard? Because the U.S. government set the price of gold at $20.67 and refused to change it for decades - and that led to deflation of the currency as the demand grew for gold. Gold had become the backing of most currencies around the globe.
Deflation is very destructive. It locks up credit, which hurt farmers who always have to borrow money for new equipment and to buy seed. It hurts factories and manufacturers. It helps bankers who lend money with a value of x and get money back with a value of Y, so the banks get fat and rich and the borrowers get poor. Oh, and workers got pay cuts rather than raises.
So Bryan and the Populists wanted "free silver" aka going to a bi-metallic standard so there would be some inflation. They didn't understand the destructive nature of inflation then as nobody had experienced any outside of wartime. Inflation helps borrowers - you pay less back then you borrow as the money is worth less. But it means rising prices.
The bi-metallic standard would only cause some inflation because silver was worth less than gold, but it still caused inflation because more money was on the market.
The 20th century saw the end of any backing at all for money after Richard Nixon took us off the gold standard for good. Now we have "fiat currency" which is backed by nothing but the good word of the Federal Reserve, who prints all our money. The Fed giveth and the Fed taketh away.
(In theory we have the "petro-dollar" with oil backing our currency but there is no real-world connection between our money and oil - it's just a way of saying our money has value because of how much oil it can buy. Oil is sold based on the U.S. dollar and it's hard if not impossible to buy oil with Rubles or Rupies or Yen. But our currency is not attached to it.
So the fundamental assumptions of the Federal Reserve board and especially the Chairman is critical to how our monetary policy will work and how our economy operates. If Chairmab Warsh is a Keynsian we will see stagnant economic growth and modest but increasing inflation just as we have done under Powell or under Hollerin, er, Yellen, and under the last half dozen Keynsian directors.
Trump has proven in times past to be a bad judge of such things. He appointed Powell after all, and he appointed a lot of guys who screwed him royally, people like Jeff Sessions for AG and then replacing him with Bush loyalist William Barr, both of whom screwed him over. He appointed Christopher Wray to the FBI and Wray went full TDS on his boss, and almost brought the President down. There are many other examples. Trump has a bad tendency to not think ideologically and he gets burned. I fear he may have appointed another Jerome Powell in this instance.
This quote from the cheerleading article spoke volumes:
But if you know Warsh like I do, you also know his background: A longtime Fed governor, academic, investor and thought leader who believes taming inflation is what the Fed should be spending its time doing, not giving forward guidance to markets.
In other words this guy has never done anything outside of the ivory tower and government. Zero. Zip. Nada. the Null set. He is a pure academician who invested some money maybe but has no real practical experience.
Just the kind of guy who would fall for Keynsianism and government interventionism.
BTW the Great Depression is often blamed on "laissez Faire" economics but the reality is the Federal Reserved caused it by pumping up the money supply then suddenly contracting it, shocking the markets. At the same time the Republican President Herbert Hoover was running vast public works programs and spending money like crazy. In fact, Roosevelt ran against him FROM THE RIGHT, arguing Hoover spent too much money on the Depression works programs. The Great Depression was caused by the very things that we now believe fixed it - and are the go-to moves by our government during economic downturns, thus making the "great recession" out of a one-industry correction.
We do not need another academic in such a position. I fear Warsh is going to disappoint us as did Mr. Powell. Trump has GOT to learn to think ideologically and not just look at credentials.
The New York Post writer says Warsh is no tool. Seems to me the author is the tool here. I don't know what Warsh is yet but it doesn't look very promising to me.

You gotta love Trump!
What other President would make that kind of threat? You have to speak their language and Trump knows how to do that.
Yes, that would raise gas prices but what is now happening is other places are ramping up their oil production and when this process is complete the Persian Gulf will not be so important an oil source for the world. U.S. producers, for instance, have been reluctant to ramp up production out of fear of a leftist regime regaining power, but this is incentivizing them to o so. If Iran wants to charge a toll why shouldn't we as well? Then the other countries - Venezuela, Mexico, the U.S. etc. will have broken the backs of OPEC and Gulf oil will become just one more source out of many. The world needs that - Irans one hole card will be gone in due course.
That's what Trump means when he says time is on our side and w hold all the cards. The only problem is, will the American People see that before pulling the rug out from under him?
Btw threatening to impose tolls on the strait is intended to push the Europeans into pressuring Iran. It might work too. Europe is afraid to stand with us now because they let so many Muslims into their countries but the threat of rising oil and gas prices may make them grow a pair of danglies. Their native populations are already restive with high energy prices.

Proof that Fox News still isn't really on our side. They have refused to run an op-ed by Republican Senator Ron Johnson about the lies told to us by the government over Covid.
Years ago my father (rest in peace dad!) told me Fox served a purpose to the internationalists/New World Order types by acting as a safety valve to bleed off pressure from the public; they gave us an "alternate view" but stopped short, often diverting attention from what should have been discussed. They would often fixate on stories about crime or other things at critical moments when some stories were exploding. They often diverted discussion on key things. One of those I noticed was the Covid business; they refused to have any dissenting voices on about Covid.
Apparently they are still doing so. I am not sure why.
We've caught them red-handed. This is huge news but Fox still wants to downplay it.
Johnson posted on his X account:
"The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Washington Post, USA TODAY, and Fox Digital have all declined or ignored requests to publish this op-ed,”
Why would Fox and the Wall Street Journal (another Rupert Murdoch company) refuse to publish an op-ed by a U.S. Senator?
The coverup continues - and Fox News remains part of it. You must take them with as big a grain of salt as you do the mainstream media. They are more seductive because they are conservative on many issues but then they slip in lies and water them on the sly.
Don't trust ANY mainstream media sources. Use them as tools to see what is happening but always verify.

Of course this does nothing to remove the Labour party from power, so the next guy will be the same or worse than Starmer. But at least we see some signs of life in Britain. With luck the next general election will see the rise of the party formally known as UKIP and now called Reform Britain or whatever.
Fascist Britain is a dying nation. One hopes that sanity and the Britain of yore will re-emerge.

Another Nimrod's Tower

So now Barack Hussein Obama's Presidential Library and House of Pancakes has officially opened to grace the skyline of the most corrupt major city in America. A dark, foreboding tower shaking it's fist at the heartland of America, this monstrosity has taken much heat for being an architectural eyesore. Here is one example of that criticism. It also features a good photo of the great stone phallus symbolically sodomizing the Chicago South Side.
My first thought when seeing it was "Triumph Mosque".
When Muslims conquer a land they would first build a mosque honoring their triumph over the aboriginal inhabitants. That mosque generally included a call to prayer tower - a minaret.
Obama, you may remember, was raised in Indonesia as a Muslim by his Muslim step father. This is what he would think of when he thinks of victory. It is also what he would tell his architect he would like to show.
My second thought was any castle erected after conquering a nation. One of the keys to controlling a conquered people is to make them FEEL conquered, and to do that armies have historically built castles on high ground to remind the conquered peoples that they won and the legitimate rulers lost. You build a big, often ugly building with massive defenses, solid structures, that look imposing and evil, something that says "don't you dare!" to the fallen peoples.
That is precisely what this monstrosity looks like and it is intended to project a psychological thumb in the eyes of the American People "I won, you lost!"
It is an enormous Medieval middle finger to Middle America.
What did anyone expect from Obama? He made his contempt for American values quite plain, and he promised "change" by which he meant the DESTRUCTION of what America had been and the creation of something different, a transmogrification of the beautiful spacious skies and amber waves of grain into a dark and sinister dystopian world. He may not have seen his vision as dystopic but rather as "freeing" as has every tyrant and oppressor, but in the end it's no different than any of the schemes to create paradise on Earth - it lead to entropy and decay and oppression. Hitler, Stalin, any of those who sought to fundamentally change human society have all brought the same.
Take Genghis Khan. What is often not mentioned about the bloodthirsty conqueror was that he thought he was doing the work for his god, and he thought he was going to conquer all Mankind in order to save it. As he was on a religious crusade he was absolutely determined and relentless. No quarter was given to anyone who opposed him, and one of his favorite things to do was confine his enemies in a box and then seat himself on top of it for a feast while they slowly suffocated to death. Nice guy.
But in many ways he is much like a modern liberal, and we don't even know how many he murdered, or how much suffering he caused. Certainly Russia was formed by his kindred; it was actually more advanced and enlightened than Western Europe prior to the coming of the Golden Horde. Ukraine - one of the great lights of Europe, was reduced to a wasteland and kept that way by the Mongols for centuries. It's why Moscow - a good vassal to the Mongols - became =the ruling power in the region and not Kiev. In fact the name Ukraine is Russian for "the Borderland". It ws nothing but a waste.
Al because Genghis Khan worshipped a false god and wanted to impose that god on all Mankind.
At any rate Obama has much the same philosophy. Whether he worships Allah or the God of Rousseau, Marx, and Lenin is unclear, but he worships a dark god nonetheless and he seeks not to persuade but to conquer. And certainly he deserves a arch de triumph. That is what his "library" is all about.
It's his victory mosque, his medieval castle, his victory dance on the graves of his foes. One can see him feasting on top of his enemies as they die, much as Genghis Khan had done. And it is an eyesore on purpose (as is almost all modern art) to show that he has won and thus free to offend and insult everyone. Modern art is all about insulting and offending and not about much else. It is the ultimate FU to the public.
But in the end all the dark towers will fall one way or another, just as Nimrod's dark tower fell at Babel. Obama is another Nimrod.
