According to the Associated Press, December of 2019 saw an increase of 47% over the number of firearm sales when compared to December of 2018.
The tallied number of guns sold totaled out to 73,849. The outlet reported that the increase in sales was likely "due to growing fears of increased firearms restrictions backed by Democrats who control the state government.â€

If I were a total cynic -- which I promise I'm not -- I'd wonder if those scoundrels are in the pay of the firearms industry. And they might be, IF the firearms industry were the large industrial complex that the Left believes it to be.
In fact, it is not. The various arms manufacturers are almost all fairly small operations, which is why it's easy to target them by making one of them defend themselves when a criminal uses one of their guns to carry out a mass shooting. This is a totally reprehensible action; an automobile manufacturer is NEVER sued when a terrorist drives one of his SUVs into a crowd of people. But then, GM has deep pockets, whereas Remington does not.
